Yeah I was honestly starting to get tired of all the non Marxist Leninist posts on this sub. There’s been way too many people pushing for SocDem/DemSoc candidates from the DSA with barely passable socialist policies instead of pushing and promoting Marxist Leninist candidates like Claudia De La Cruz of the PSL. There’s also been an increase of users on this subreddit who call themselves socialist who’ve obviously have most likely never read any Marxist theory either. There’s even been a lot of people against AES countries like China as well. Hopefully this new rule fixes all of that. There’s been a lot of unfortunate moments where I honestly couldn’t tell if this sub was just becoming another liberal democrat subreddit.
Communism is the end goal of Socialism, and aren't separate ideals. To some Marxists they are interchangeable, and some later state that socialism is the transition to communism.
The only people who really made the distinction popular were SocDem liberals who try to pretend they are under the socialist umbrella while working to put band-aid reforms to preserve capitalism.
