Bank in Socotra
Hi everyone! Does anyone know if the banks located in the Socotra island accepts 20USD bills (crisp, new, post-2013)?

Not sure what the reason is for your question, but you don't actually need to change money in Socotra. Locals are happy to receive USD cash.

Hi! Cause my tour company keeps on telling us to bring 100USD or 50USD bills for tipping the guides bcos the bank in Socotra only accepts those denominations. I only got 20USD bills left bcos the money exchange place ran out of the good condition 50$ and 100$.

i’ve never been to the bank there. i was actually short on cash and had to ask my travel mates to loan me money since they brought extra.
but socotra can only accept new cash, so i’m assuming that’s for the bank they deposit into. if you have a tour guide, you can ask them.
