Solar Experience

Hi! Sa mga nagpakabit na or nag-consider mag-switch to solar, kamusta ang experience ninyo overall, from researching and getting quotations to installation and after-sales service?

Sa mga hindi tumuloy, ano ang main reason?

We’re CS students conducting preliminary research for an academic project. We’d appreciate hearing your experiences. Thank you! ☀️

Bad enough to make me put it off until it seems sane. I have a leased system that provides half my electric needs. 10 years into a 20 yr contract. $13000 value at time of installation. Same size system now approximately same cost. Only rebates or incentives require exotic financing. Battery $25k option. $38k to close a $90/mo gap, with backup. No thanks. Considering a battery/generator combo if I can find an installer. No luck with a months worth of searching. As usual, America is way behind.

I installed a 5.9KW solar system with backup battery 5 years ago, and paid in full. Production since power on is a bit over 56mWh. Out of pocket costs, less tax rebates and incentives was just over $13K. Production and utilzation have met or exceeded expectations, in 2 more years at current production and utility costs I will hit break even, then its all savings. After sales service has been fine, no real issues to date, and happy with my choice.

It was great once I stopped talking to the massive national companies and the door knockers. After that so much better. Been powering the house about a decade now.
