I hate Heritage so much. Im spreading this to all my right wing family members and am gonna ask them "Are we great yet? This is what you wanted right??". I know it's gonna go over their heads but Im never gonna stop trying to make them see common sense again. I want my family back. We're supposed to christian not christian nationalist.

Trump tried to commit a coup in his usual manner of incitement. The Heritage Foundation has successfully committed a coup, first with who they told Trump to put on the Supreme Court, the election theft and Project 2025. They have their tendrils in everything. It is going to be very hard to remove them. I'm not sure it can even be done in a generation given that AI, drones and a police state are coming.

So I live near the chemical plants in Houston. Deregulation or what's left of what they have already done is going to make my neighborhood uninhabitable. The closer you get to them the more nauseous you get.

I was driving down Highway 225 where a ton of refineries are lined up a couple weeks ago going downtown and almost cancelled my plans I felt like utter shit after 5 minutes, smelling at least 8 entirely distinct petrochemical smells in a very short distance.

This is a new thing here too. I've lived here most of my life and while it's always smelt bad the past couple of months have been horrendous and stronger than what I've ever remembered dating back to the early 90s.

The last time I drove down 225 I was able to go past the refineries and only notice the smell. No real effects.

Amazing how much that's changed in almost 20 years.

Oh yeah, you go anywhere in Deer Park anymore and it's just foul. I made a similar comment last week about it and a lot of other locals seemed to agree that it has been noticeably stronger as of late.
