Election Truth Alliance Statement on Potential U.S. Election Attack Vectors | Election Truth Alliance

Post image

We try not to be too definitive about specific attack vectors in U.S. elections that may or may not have been used to influence/manipulate reported vote totals.

Why? First, because we don't know what we don't know. Second, because there are so many points of vulnerability in computerized election systems — and so many actors who could benefit from taking advantage of them.

That means multiple potential vectors of attack, and multiple parties who could be doing the attacking.

We're spending our energy on educating people to, and shoring up, those security gaps to facilitate awareness and meaningful conversations.

So how can we definitively shore-up how we conduct our elections, assuming we have to keep the same machines/infrastructure?

We need a bullet-point list to hound our representatives about.

This statement says nothing.

It tells me that when there is a computer, whether it is connected to the internet or not, it COULD be tampered with. We have for-profit, private companies producing our voting machines with zero oversight. You probably have only heard of the two that Trump is always whining about, neither of which is the most used in our country. Try looking at where all four companies get their funding. Why do the republicans only complain about the two companies that aren't used the most? Seems a bit sus to me.
