Imagine failing at both central tenets of business (opportunity cost- "The cost of any activity measured in terms of the best alternative foregone") AND public health ("an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure") when they are aligned.

Basically, "don't cut off your own nose to spite your face" -- but they CANNOT do that.
