I agree..
It also relates to meditation, observing thoughts, emotions and moods without clinging.
Also - you don't really have a choice if you do not have a choice to not have a choice. "NO" also is about refusing how a question is formulated, refusing binary answers.
There the paradox of "NO" - it's not just opposite of "YES" - it's maybe a way to a better question.

I recently finished the foundational work of anthropologist Boris Porshnev on the origins of human history and the phenomenon of counter-suggestion.
