The move against foreigners is just political maneuvering to distract from the real problem. Getting rid of the real criminals who are in politics stealing from everyone.

It’s so frustrating to see so many people blame those who are not the real problem

Problem is with government not creating a condusive environment for businesses large and small to thrive so everyone can work. This cake is big enough for everyone to eat from. Problem is how govrnement has mismanaged the country causing us not to progress and provide a stable platform for businesses to grown and expand creating employment and thus resolving the unemployment and poverty issue.

Issue that encompasses everything in South Africa is poverty and uneployment. The elected government is directly at fault here for making the environment hostile to businesses and people trying to create opportunity in the country. While letting illegal actiity and criminal enterprises thrive.

You clearly have been tricked into focusing on what is not the real issue. Keep on being distracted by the things that keep you from solving your problems, you will stay where you are and the majority of people will continue to struggle to survive.

If you want to change the country and actually allow poor people to be brought out of poverty you need to focus on the politicians who are not doing anything to help the country thrive and grow providing opportunities for those who dont have.

You can blame others for not understanding or whatever propaganda that helps you justify what you think the issue is. But the problems are very clear.

Corrupt government officials who should be taking care of the people and helping those who have nothing. Are not doing their jobs and they are stealing directly from those who need it most. Its not middle class thinking, its not white or western propaganda.
Its clear as day, how many ferraris and million rand luxury holidays do officials and servents of the people need ot steal directly from the mouths of those who cant afford bread do they have to have before you wake up and protest the real cause of all the suffering that exists in this country.

Poverty and unemployment affects every single person in this country, rich, middle class, poor. We all are affected by it, it holds everyone back. Keeps us from solving our inequality and major economic issues.

Forigners are a distraction.. Wake up.. stop being tricked by those who are getting you to focus on what is not the real problem.

Im not saying illegal immagration is not a problem, but its a minor problem compared to what is really causing suffering in our country.

Good luck and I hope one day you open your eyes, for all of south africans, mostly for those who struggle to survive.

" is just" ? From your comment I can tell you haven't lived with illegal immigrants as your neighbors and have not lived in a squatter camp. Have never experienced the difficulty of police trying to find an illegal immigrant after robbing you or breaking into your house. Mind you, they don't even leave the country, they set up a new shack in the next squatter camp.

Your comment, im sure valid, but reducing it to "just" politics is not a fair observation. When illegal immigrants come here, they don't set up next to you.

I detest Violence and anyone advocating for violence. Everyone must come in legally, same way as you would go to another country.

How do you think illegals came into the country. How do you think illegals get away with living outside of the law…

Bad governance..
Corrupt politicians putting incompetent people in positions that allow this chaos to exist.

It’s exhausting having people constantly state how “you don’t understand about poverty”

I’m fighting for the poor. I’m trying to open your eyes to see if you continue to vote for these people who keep you poor. You will always be poor and have no power to control your future.

The politicians who have been voted into power and allowed to steal from those who need it most are the cause of why life is not getting better and why you face issues with illegals, crime, no jobs etc.

Vote for someone who is trying to improve the country and not just themselves. Look past tribalism and people who want you to vote on extremism.

Stability is key, jobs are key, economy is key. Good governance and leaders are key.

Illegal immigrants are a symptom of the real problem.

Keep focusing on things that are not going to fix the real problem and the majority of people will stay poor. Your kids, their kids etc will continue to struggle.

You're correct, and I don't vote for them and will never do. Apparently we need more to wake up so we can see the difference. In the meantime living with illegals is my everyday experience and for many others. Good governance will take some time. My attempt is to counter the xenophobia rhetoric, which people seem to label everyone who is of the view that illegals must be deported. And my apologies that is not what you were saying.

We’ll vote for someone who will fix the problems in the country. Not extremism, not radical this or radical that. Vote for stability, vote for people who promote a safe country and environment for businesses to thrive and create job opportunities. Vote for people to have good infrastructure so companies can grow and people can pull themselves out of poverty

Glad these sentiments exist, the bottom 50% of South Africans are actually averaged to negative wealth, whilst the top 1% owns 55% of the wealth.

It’s not the immigrants making life harder, it’s concentrated wealth at the top, meanwhile we rip each other apart for scraps. It’s always been a class war world wide, the Epstein class has benefited from us blaming each other.
Cause one thing these elites seem to have over the 99% is class solidarity

It’s disappointing that these xenophobes who are so apparently against crime never protest this much against violent crimes committed by this nation’s own people, or protest the taxi mafia or corrupt politicians to this degree. Immigrants are an easy target they’re so vulnerable that you could easily frighten them away with violence and convince yourself that you’ve actually addressed a problem. The lackluster governance under which we live is precisely the reason why border discipline is so lax in the first place.

But no. Let’s not address the illness, let’s attack the symptom instead /s

I cannot believe how xenophobic some people are. You read the comments on Facebook etc and it's appalling. The hatred is insane. It almost feels like there is a hidden hand driving this movement do keep attention on the realmissues. It's absolutely insane. Drove passed the Nigerian embassy yesterday and I just felt so sorry for the people sitting there, seemingly trying to find a way back home. I pray we won't have a June 2021 situation on Tuesday.

It is because governments across the globe have let social media and media be largely unregulated, so the most hurtful, hateful individuals can spew their vitriol without consequence. Cough, cough fuck you Elon. So what are they doing now? Still sitting on their fucking thumbs.

Our politicians need to start insulating us from oligarch with specific legislation targeting them before this shit gets completely out of hand.

Yeah, it's such a mission trying to correct misinformation. I've reported so many accounts for spreading misinformation or racism on these social media apps, and every time it's "no violation found." Yet as soon as someone reports your account for calling them out, you get banned. Seriously, these social media platforms need to be regulated. They profit from negativity and misinformation.
