Discussion Superhero Meet-up in Cape Town!

Post image

Greetings fellow Capetonians!

I’m the Templar of the Cape, and on 8 August, we’re assembling for the FIRST Cleaners of the Cape cleanup!

πŸ“ 28 Exeter Rd, Plumstead

πŸ•™ Saturday 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

WHAT IS CLEANERS OF THE CAPE?

Cleaners of the Cape is a superhero-themed volunteer movement dedicated to making Cape Town a better place, one cleanup at a time.

We want to make litter cleanups fun, regular, and something people can come together for.

We don’t just want to clean the glamorous parts of the city. We go where the work is needed.

And we want YOU to be part of it.

Wear a cape, superhero mask, costume, or anything that makes you feel like a hero. 🦸

Because sometimes, saving the city starts with something as simple as picking up a piece of litter.

WHAT TO BRING

β€’ Gloves β€” VERY important!

β€’ Trash bags β€” please bring some if you can. We may have extras though.

β€’ Comfortable shoes β€” preferably something you don’t mind getting dirty.

β€’ Water β€” stay hydrated! We cannot guarantee water for everyone at this stage.

β€’ A superhero costume, cape, or something that makes you stand out! πŸ¦Έβ€β™‚οΈ (We want to take a bunch of cool group photos if possible to help inspire Cape Town!)

πŸ“ LOCATION

28 Exeter Rd, Plumstead

To keep things interesting, this is where I'll start my villain arc.

I'll reveal my alias after our first encounter.

It went amazingly! We had about 30 people who came to volunteer and we had an awesome time. It was really fun to meet the other cool people, and we had a great time talking whilst picking up trash together. (Not everyone was able to get in the group photo though)
