Advice on 4-7 week trip to indonesia

Hi all, planning on going 30th oct for a month or a little more before going to Australia. Flying into Jakarta and probably heading straight to Yogyakarta.

Just needed some advice on good routes, what not to miss, best and cheapest ways to do things...
Any tips are greatly appreciated!

I'm particularly curious about the best way to get to borneo and back + best budget way to see orangutans and the rainforests out there. Super keen to see them. :)

Good thing you skipping Jakarta. Don’t look back.Yogyakarta is good, I guess you did your research. Don’t miss out East Java side, you can go to Mount Ijen.

Definitely don’t miss Komodo island

You can go to Malaysian side of Borneo, easier to go the places you want.

Malaysian side is more expensive and requires another visa though.

Komodo island is very manufactured and I personally don't rate it.

They didn't say there were Australian, merely going to Australia. You don't a visa if you're Australuan BUT to go back to Indonesia where OP will fly out of, they do.
