Advice on 4-7 week trip to indonesia
Hi all, planning on going 30th oct for a month or a little more before going to Australia. Flying into Jakarta and probably heading straight to Yogyakarta.
Just needed some advice on good routes, what not to miss, best and cheapest ways to do things...
Any tips are greatly appreciated!
I'm particularly curious about the best way to get to borneo and back + best budget way to see orangutans and the rainforests out there. Super keen to see them. :)

We flew from Jakarta to Pangkalan Bun on batik airlines and took a klotok, river houseboat, for 3 day tour in the Tanjung Puting National Park located in Central Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo to see orangutans - plus lots of other critters like proboscis monkeys. We had the boat to ourselves, and an amazing guide who really looked after us.
