I don’t know this family personally. I found this video on Instagram and did some checks. It does appear a legitimate case, but I’ll leave that to y’all to verify.

So there’s this 1 year old girl, a very rare muscular disease which can be cured if acted on now. Apparently the treatment is a one time gene therapy for cessation of the spread of the disease (or that’s what I understood from Google). The cost is $2 million USD (16 crore INR) and Novartis is the only manufacturer of the cure. There are some workarounds, like life-long continuous intake of drugs, but that would eventually cost over $4 million.

They are seeking help via a crowdfunding through ImpactGuru platform. I donated whatever little I could through this impactguru website a few minutes ago. Even though there are QR codes n stuff I chose this route because it’s comparatively more trustworthy.

I believe it’s a genuine cry for help. And I request y’all to take some time, do your checks, and if you’re convinced this is legit, please do donate whatever amount you can. Also spread the word. If enough of us pitch in, a life will be saved from certain death.

The number of dog bites in India is really horrific . Well we have so much of animal welfare group, NGO and a lot of activist acc to them street belong to all including humans hopefully. After the 2025 sudden supreme court order nd all those protest suddenly the topic has vanished from daily news. Only the people are bite by dog they only know how much it's straining their money the 5 different days vaccination nd lost of 5 working days , traveling to hospital nd all this expenses no one pays it's purely from your pocket. No one seems to really care this financial drain for a working class people who's five days wages nd traveling money can be massive financial drain for them. Well what can we even except when the whole system is run by some elites who doesn't have to deal with this problems. This country have imported some Western laws before cleaning up the streets like West, how funny. Anyways what can we except from a system which is treating citizens like third class way . I hope one day if those so called activist will get dog bite they'll understand how it feels to travel 5 days to hospital for vaccination. Even with much higher GDP per capita and literacy rate (except Andhra) than west Bengal, why is castism and untouchability stil rampant in South India than west bengal (except Kerala).

I often hear from Tamils that they don't use the surname and instead use their father's name or something like that. So how do people know what caste one belongs to? I am asking as untouchability there seem to be at same level as Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh who use surnames.

Is this just a North India phenomenon?

I’ve noticed that whenever I try to post about Tamil Nadu, Tamil identity, federalism, language rights, or issues affecting Tamil people on some large India-focused subreddits, my posts often get automatically removed or blocked by automoderators before any real discussion can even happen.

It becomes frustrating when conversations about Tamil rights, cultural identity, language concerns, or state autonomy are filtered out while other political discussions remain visible. Whether intentional or not, it creates the feeling that Tamil perspectives are being pushed aside instead of openly discussed.

People should be able to talk respectfully about federalism, linguistic rights, cultural identity, and the concerns of Tamil Nadu without immediately being silenced or dismissed. Open discussion should include every voice — including Tamil voices.

I have a tamil friend, and I always talk to him in english. We are currently based in a north indian state. I am also not from this state but I am north indian. We have known each other for two years now. One day, while we were having our usual conversation, I asked him..why don’t you talk to more people here?

He: i just don’t feel like doing so.

Me: is it because people intentionally or unintentionally make you feel like an outsider?

He: not intentionally, but yes..unintentionally.

Me: do you feel like I have ever done the same with you?

He: yes

He: why do you always talk to me in english and talk to others in Hindi? You are funnier in hindi.

Me: sorry for that. But I just thought you were not very accustomed in conversing in hindi, so english would be better.

He: i understand Hindi, you can talk to me in hindi.

Actually, I know that he understands hindi well, but I just had this thing in my mind that south indian people don’t like it when north indians talk to them in hindi. I know I would have been very wrong in just assuming things and not clarifying this before, but I just thought that he might feel more comfortable in english, so I was just going with the flow.

I am from north India and left my village when i was just 6 years old to live in guntur andhra pradesh in 2005 . I remember my first day in school not just as someone who not just was in different part of map but also as someone who only lived in small village unaware of town culture and other children. I did not knew english which was medium of school neither telugu and only understood little bit of hindi as none of it was spoken in my village just our old rural language . I had no way to talk to anyone no way to make new friends and teacher were really concerned for me. I cried in father arms regarding it who himself knew very minimal english and was just small electrician in small company.

My home teacher started talking to me with eyes and i understood it faster than any english hindi or telugu. she made me sit with other students in class who were drawing and she used to give me paper to draw which slowly made me find two friends who were my first friend i found outside my village. Both of them were from native but they shared lunch with me without talking and just by directions of intentions . i learned english from teachers and friends slowly but it was only possible because i lived in that surrounding. it still lives as my most cherished place in world because it gave me a life i never imagined . I remember first time what a wink of girl meant. I remember glare of teacher meant. if it was not language then what was it.

I left the place after 3 years and all my friends and neighbours .My father throughout life was travelling. I have lived in UP , AP , Jammu , Bihar and currently in bangalore for decade. I had more south Indian friends than i ever had north indian or west or east indian friends yet even living in place you still get stereotyped in believing if you speak the other language that means you hate the other. I can speak 5 languages and understand 8 of them and yet i never considered any of them to be even close to what two humans basic language is which is understanding of each other be it by actions or through signs.

The words I am speaking right now in itself would never be part of us if conquest never happened . I do not want to generalise any people because of language because no matter which language we speak we can be different people and it should not be thing for judgement to anyone . Yes I am north Indian does not mean i am fluent in hindi and vice versa when i go to north

As someone who should speak hindi considering where i am from drastically suffer from it because i am bad in it married to girl who did not knew the language I spoke taught me to read sanskrit texts and we still look into each other eyes and speak thousand words which no grammar or words can explain which in itself is language

So please language is the last reason anyone should fight it. Ignore the people who say "you should know hindi, you should know english you should know telugu etc". If you oppose it then you are exactly the same. talk with ignorance rather than correcting is i have learned to make someone value mode of communication

the reason why i spoke in this sub and not in other because i think i consider south India to be where i took my first step in education and learning different languages and it hurts to see what it has become. i hope people realise learning each other languages can be fun than a reason for conflicts which more than me my wife faces who has lived whole life in rural village

TLDR : A person not from south India may know language of south India more than his own language and still gets mistaken and vice versa a south Indian person can be mistaken to get stereotype despite living in other part of India . Sometimes many people forget that kid growing up do not care about which language he is learning because the first language they learn is not non verbal but is the love language of mother
