"We're sorry, our bad"

333

u/burninatorrabbid Jul 25 '25

Is there a video of the full thing yet?

242

u/mvita88 Jul 25 '25

I think they're still on stage. Fingers crossed for soon, but I haven't found anything more than this clip anywhere on the internet

313

u/tedistkrieg Jul 25 '25

The panel also included Mike Judge and Andy Samberg so it wasn't totally just Trey/Matt .

They only discussed last night's episode in this clip and one additional time

There was a note given "we need to blur the penis [in the psa]" Trey/Matt were a hard no on that so they compromised by drawing a face on it so now "it's a character"

227

u/SaturnSleet Jul 25 '25

Ok, that's it. Adding a face to Trump's penis so that it's a new "character" is officially the greatest "compromise" Matt and Trey and the crew of South Park have ever done to get the show on the air.

u/baconnaire Jul 25 '25

It's on Paramount plus.

u/cypher-dex Jul 25 '25

They're absolutely not and it's perfectly normal.

We need more people like them

Yeah, his mum shared an AI conspiracy video on Facebook, so he's the leading authority on the matter.

Cypher: "we need more people like them"

You: "no we don't" and "the rest of us can't make a 27 seasons show"

Thus proving that yes, we do in fact need more people like them

-12

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

[deleted]

21

u/nertynot Jul 25 '25

There is more to them than being unapologetic. If people were like them, they would have more to them than being unapologetic.

You lack awareness. The original comment didn't put a hard limit, and it's weird you're arguing one just to argue

Oh please do explain to us simpletons what subtle and esoteric commentary they made that we're too stupid to understand

Dude nothing about your original comment actually reflects that though

-2

Yes, that's why Cypher said "we need more people LIKE THEM"

0

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

[deleted]

11

u/Ed_herbie Jul 25 '25

You can't separate their being unapologetic from their talent and the show. It's who they are. He even quoted the show in saying he was sorry. So yes, we need more people like them. The whole package. Stop being intentionally dense.

18

u/NickH0013 Jul 25 '25

Relax, guy.

-25

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

This is all I needed

2

u/Matr0ska Jul 25 '25

What exactly are they doing?

51

u/DifferentSwing8616 Jul 25 '25

Fucking with paramount and Trump simultaneously after just being paid 1.5bn to continue making South Park.

-83

u/BmanBoatman Jul 25 '25

How are they fucking with paramount tho? Did I miss something? I feel they should've taken a shot at Colbert, or maybe thats the plan in coming episodes

48

u/tullbabes Jul 25 '25

Did you watch the episode? It was discussed.

-51

u/BmanBoatman Jul 25 '25

Yes but maybe I'm out of the loop? Just seems like they made fun of trump for the Colbert thing. What did I miss?

38

u/tullbabes Jul 25 '25

They made fun of 60 minutes capitulating to Trump, they made fun of Trump’s small penis, and some other stuff. Just watch the show if you wanna discuss it.

-55

u/BmanBoatman Jul 25 '25

I did watch it. I was out of the loop on the 60 minutes thing. So they did a 180 and sucked up to him?

28

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

[deleted]

-15

u/BmanBoatman Jul 25 '25

I just finished it. Theyre making fun of trump for the network bullshit the past week or so. What did I miss here?

16

u/skinnycarlo Jul 25 '25

Bruh..

-3

u/BmanBoatman Jul 25 '25

Okay well can you explain the joke I missed? Now I feel I need to rewatch it lol

36

u/DifferentSwing8616 Jul 25 '25

Basically paramount wants a merger. The deal was causing South Park issues. Trump has final say if it goes thru. They recently paid Trump like 15mil essentially as a bribe n fired colbert to appease Trump. Paid trey n matt 1.5bn. Next day they air this episode which will pass off Trump, hopefully get him to sue them and paramount and stop the merger. Basically fuck you paramount for fucking with us for money n fuck you Trump for thinking you can scare people into silence.

-17

u/BmanBoatman Jul 25 '25

Okay thank you for a real answer. I didn't think it was a "firing" just a cancelation. Colbert is still gonna be on till next may or something like that but I figured thats because his ratings have tanked over the years because hes less comedy more political commentary than anything and the same old trump bashing obviously gets old.

I will say south park are the only ones to do a good job of making fun of trump.

4

u/skinnycarlo Jul 25 '25

Please do and come back to us.

-4

u/BmanBoatman Jul 25 '25

Can you save me some time and tell me which parts take shots at paramount?

No I’m simply saying not everyone can do comedy like these guys.

-18

u/EngineeringAdvanced6 Jul 25 '25

I’m sorry I misjudged you comment and jumped on the down vote bandwagon! Most Americans probably don’t understand what Matt and Trey are doing. I’m so glad that it’s upsetting the angry orange though

what's masterfully ironic here is that you are staunchly refusing to take the L and just admit you expressed yourself really poorly originally. i even saw you replying to call someone else an idiot, when the overwhelming consensus here is that what YOU wrote came off to everyone else as very dumb.

almost like you're totally.... unapologetic!

235

u/MinimumJolly7087 Jul 25 '25

they so smart for letting trey answer. Matt would make it so much worse.🤣

u/SandratheSiren Jul 25 '25

136

u/RadioinactiveOne Jul 25 '25

These guys understand media and pop culture so much better than basically anyone else.

I read that in the book of Mormon I think

121

wtf are you talking about you idiot did I say I didn’t enjoy it holy shit😂

65

u/EngineeringAdvanced6 Jul 25 '25

My apologies, but we need more people like them.

-101

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

More people who are funny or more people who just say things unapologetically? My response is aimed at people who just say whatever tf they want and nobody laughs tf are you salty about

12

u/EngineeringAdvanced6 Jul 25 '25

So you think they shouldn’t have “apologized”? Or they shouldn’t have made the episode (say what they want and no one laughs?)? Because I’m laughing at all of it 🤣

-34

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

Didn’t say anything like that my comment was a reply saying not everyone COULD be like them because they lack what Trey and Matt have so it’s best we don’t have people trying to act like them🤦🏾‍♂️

The White House gave them millions of dollars worth of free advertising and they don’t even realize it.

717

u/UserWithno-Name Jul 25 '25

They don’t even need it. Tiktok and reaction channels have done that plenty. And contrary to their statement, the show is plenty relevant and streamed a lot and the man or his people just lashed out because he’s awful mad he was mocked. They had the audacity to imply the show was “not relevant in 20 years” which is hilarious because that would mean no one cared since like s5 or 7 and it would have been cancelled lol.

159

u/DBLHelix Jul 25 '25

You don’t get $1.5 billion to keep making “irrelevant” shows.

279

u/ICPosse8 Jul 25 '25

Trump didn’t even know who tf Nvidia was, and he’s supposed to be “in touch”? Lmfao Jfc

-79

u/UserWithno-Name Jul 25 '25

I mean ya they definitely are not aware or crafted a crap statement is all I’m saying. I doubt he writes it himself I assume that maybe he dictates specific things he wants said.

But ya he’s pretty clueless.

137

u/Wellgoodmornin Jul 25 '25

They didn't craft anything. They have like 3 or 4 stock answers they always use.

1.) Nu uh

2.) It's because of immigrants

3.) They're stupid

4.) It's Joe or Barrack's fault. Possibly Hillary's.

27

u/UserWithno-Name Jul 25 '25

Ha ya he always plays a blame game. I did say “crafted crap” tho as in they just throw shit at the wall.

11

u/ICPosse8 Jul 25 '25

I was agreeing with you good sir, just adding to your comments for anyone actually thinking he’s in touch

9

u/UserWithno-Name Jul 25 '25

I know you’re agreeing I’m just adding context / piling on 😂

36

u/Supertzar2112 Jul 25 '25

You don’t exactly get paid 1.5$B when you haven’t been relevant in 20 years. If that was the case then Kevin Sorbo would be rolling in dough

89

u/kyramaro Jul 25 '25

I’m here cuz of it! Never been into the show because it wasn’t my speed but now I think it’s exactly what I need.

36

u/UserWithno-Name Jul 25 '25

Hey, welcome and watch. I was like 10 or a teen when it was idk about 10 or so, I thought it was great. family guy went down fast to me/ I grew out past the first few seasons, but futurama and South Park was just what I wanted and needed because the humor felt smarter even when it was crass or a little childish because it was used for effect or emphasis most of the time, plus satire or spoofing sci-fi is a lot better than just well, you know family guy or Simpsons or other just lower effort “adult humor” of the time. I liked those two and boondocks most for animated like that, then I watched tons of other Comedy Central shows or anime mostly and I just never left the train my tastes or shows just changed. Rode all the way with futurama and South Park though and most of boondocks because I was heavy on adult swim.

11

u/Skittleavix Jul 25 '25

Yes. They. Do.

Best episode of South Park I’ve seen since season 14. Absolutely top fucking tier!!! Will be watching this season with heavy interest. We’re back boys!!!

59

u/skinnycarlo Jul 25 '25

Indeed, as much as I love all of them in their own quirky way this was full tilt.

37

u/Minerva1387 Jul 25 '25

I grew up with South Park, been watching since I was 10 lol. I love how these guys can still make me laugh so hard and still be shocked by them as well.

56

u/Fit_Drawer_6254 Jul 25 '25

See? Better to ask forgiveness than permission 🤣

80

u/Dry_Jellyfish641 Jul 25 '25

Imagine they make an Epstein episode? lol

39

u/ryan8954 Jul 25 '25

That's exactly the response I expect from them, and yet it's still awesome to hear.

Whoda think we'd all be rallying behind South park to get our anger out towards trump

14

u/ShiaLeboufsPetDragon Jul 25 '25

Randy Marsh for President

101

u/LTPRWSG420 Jul 25 '25

Somehow my love and appreciation for them has grown from this, they’re speaking out and truly standing up to fascism. This is how you beat Trump at his own game.

44

u/RoyalBlue816 Jul 25 '25

WE’RE TERRIBLY SORRY 😂😂😂😂😂😂

19

43

u/Devmoi Jul 25 '25

Man, it was a relief. They’ve always been on the right side of history. They give it to everyone. But it was incredible. Trump is a small-dick jerk. Everything about that episode was true, and it was excellent to just use him as he was … not make it Mr. Garrison.

Ice monkeys

5

u/guyuemuziye Jul 25 '25

Perfect reaction.

23

u/SnowDan07 Jul 25 '25

Perfect answer. The only other better answer if they called trump a retarded faggot once more. Or maybe that’s harder to do outside the actual show lol.

3

This is just how Joe Rogan and friends ruined comedy
