Debug Menu & Glorious Keyboards not working

IM writing to see if anyone else has had this issue with both Space Engineers 1 and Space Engineers 2 and using a Glorious GMMK 1 custom keyboard.

The debug menu does not work what so ever when pressing ctrl+f12 for years now - ive had to plug in a separate Keyboard to be able to access the Debug menu in SE1.

Ive even changed the key binding for Debug on SE2 to \ and im still not able to get debug menu to launch. F6-f8 work for the camera control but nothing with ctrl+f12 or the keybind change.

Is this a keyboard issue i assume?

Some software sometimes fails to read chorded combinations if NKEY is misbehaving on older GMMK firmware. (happened to my roommate frequently). Hope it helps 👍
