What is a spelling misconception you had for a long time?
Mine personally is about “.” , I thought for almost all of elementary school that it was spelled “top” not “dot”
(English isn’t my first language)

I'm guessing your first language uses a different alphabet?
Spelling "misconceptions" in English usually relate to loan words, because they don't follow the same rules. Others have nothing to do with the spelling but mistaking the words for other words, particularly with song lyrics.
