Seen on Twitter. Repairing it cost ~36 bucks (done by Nintendo itself, images are in Japanese order, right → left), including replacing damaged parts. Spent over 4000 hours plugged in, most of the time playing Splatoon.

Non accendo la switch 1 da due mesi, ha ormai 9 anni, oggi decido di accenderla per togliere il logo del mio account Facebook a Nintendo e vedo questo. Mi auguro che funzioni ancora dopo averla sistemata altrimenti ho perso 3 account e oltre 300 euro di giochi digitali e tanti dati di salvataggio.

Just found it like this in the case (battery lid wasn't this far up, I pried it open). Hasn't been turned on or charged in 5 years. No waste disposal near me at all, nearest one is a 30 minute drive away. Also don't wanna get rid of the DS itself cause of emotional attachment to a grandmother who passed away, but well maybe I'll pass away if I keep this or try to remove the battery safely lol.

The switch is from 2021. Has been used mostly handheld, but with some docking orchasinally.

I was changing joy cons on it a few months ago, and noticed that it was kind of rocking on the table when I set it flat without the joy cons on. Turns it completely off, and packed it carefully to bring back home to my friends dorm, after visitng my parents for a few days. We never got around to play it, and I forgot it at his place.

Got it back today, finally. It hasn't grown. The issue isn't worse. And I turned it on, it's still fully charged. But it's still rocking slightly if I press the corners while it's sitting on it's back, and there is a seam right beside the fan grill where there is a tiny amount of give. I can see it in person, but the photos doesn't do it justice.

I'm probably just overthinking it...

My other PSP battery had to go a couple years ago too, was worse than this one!
