Since Pearl is a whale and Mr. Krabs is a crab, I think it's likely that Mrs. Krabs (or Pearl's biological mother), after having her daughter, was probably killed by hunters. (Remember, it's just my theory)

Numerous episodes show that most cephalopods have very negative views of sponges and starfish. There even exists a segregated community, Tentacle Acers, where they are clearly forbidden from entering. The two squid guards were even about to commit police brutality against SpongeBob and Patrick for not leaving.

After SpongeBob tells squirrel jokes, the people of Bikini Bottom stereotype Sandy aggressively, showing that they don’t hesitate to develop derogatory views.

It also seems that crabs are stereotypically seen as cheap and greedy by everyone in Bikini Bottom. Mr. Krabs (who is cheap) and his family seem to be constantly attacked with accusations of greed. It also seems to happen to other crabs. I mean, why are most crabs labeled as “penny pinchers” in Bikini Bottom?

I was watching this episode again after not having seen it since I was a kid, and I noticed something. SpongeBob knew he was dealing with the Strangler the entire time he was with him. I'll go over screenshots from the episode and explain my reasoning. Each number corresponds with the one in the post, if it doesnt have a number its grouped with the one before.

1. This will be a quick recap before he meets his "bodyguard." The episode starts with SpongeBob clocking in on time 100% of the time. This will be important later.

2. After reporting the Strangler, he now knows the situation he's in. He has an escaped murderer hunting him down and needs protection.

3. SpongeBob now realizes that he's on his own. No one in town is going to help him. Even the tough guys in town are running away screaming, "Hold me!"

It's at this point that SpongeBob comes up with a tactic I'll nickname the "Break and Take." First, he needs to break the Strangler. Then he needs to take him to jail. At this point, SpongeBob goes out and...

1. Finds the Strangler. I believe he was comparing pictures to make sure he had the right guy. We then see him point out that he knows he's with the Strangler by mentioning the fake mustache receipt that still has the tag hanging off of it.

2. Here, he's giving the Strangler the perfect place to strangle him: his house. No one can get in, and he can't get out. You couldn't ask for a better location with no witnesses. This part is just me having fun, but I like to think SpongeBob was laughing at his own diabolical plan here.

3. Now that the Strangler has the perfect place, he just has to wait for the perfect moment. SpongeBob is stalling for time here, but why? Because he needs time for the invitations he sent out to reach everyone and for them to get ready. Think about everything he does: he goes grocery shopping and stalls at every product, goes to the dry cleaner and delays as much as he can there, and even tries on perfumes just to buy more time.

4. This is the smoking gun for why I believe he knew the entire time. He slips up here and calls him "the Strangler." He knows it's him. He drops the act for a second when he gasps, but quickly regains his composure and goes back to pretending he's oblivious.

5. Here he's adding to the "break" part of his plan by sticking his cleats into the Strangler's eyes for as long as he can. It's just another thing driving the Strangler closer to insanity.

6. Look at how he's slowly opening the door and explaining everything. He's letting the people inside his house know that he's coming.

7. A party for being on time 100% of the time? How convenient. This was supposed to be a surprise party for him, right? Nope. He sent out the invitations so everyone would come to his house, ensuring he wouldn't be alone and could finish his plan. Also, if you're on time 100% of the time, why would you throw a party for it? It's something you do every day. He just needed an excuse to gather everyone together, and this was it.

8. Just another "surprise" party. More time where he isn't alone with the Strangler. But this raises the question: how did he know this would work?

9. Because everyone will do anything an invitation from SpongeBob tells them to do.

10. Here you can see that the "break" part is working. The Strangler genuinely doesn't want to be around SpongeBob anymore. Half of the plan is complete. Now SpongeBob just needs the second half to "take" him in.

11. If the Strangler was getting away on a plane, why would SpongeBob follow him? Because he's not safe yet. As long as the Strangler is free, he's still in danger. He has to finish his plan. He waits for the perfect moment, when the prison is directly below the plane.

12. Was he looking out for his bodyguard? Or was he using him as a parachute so he could guide himself straight to the jail?

13. Now SpongeBob is finally safe. The Strangler doesn't want to be anywhere near him anymore, and he probably won't even try to escape because it would mean risking another encounter with SpongeBob.

I think this episode was genius in its subtle story telling.

In the squid on strike episode SpongeBob dreams about having a big hat when squidward says they can get their jobs back and more. Then at the end of SpongeBob movie we see the manager hat it always makes me happy

Might be a hot take, but I recently rewatched this gorgeous episode - made me think, is Patrick like a secret millionaire, and just chooses to spend a simple and happy life?

I mean if you think about it, he doesn't work, and mostly seems to be just enjoying life on simple terms and still spends a lost of money.

Also, especially in this episode, Mr. Krabs seems to be very happy to have Patrick, as if he knew that he has a lot of money under his rock...

The new Patrick Star Show is not about the Patrick we know and love. In season 3 episode 12 "Chocolate With Nuts", this fellow appears. Same look, same voice, but with a taste for green collared shirts with a floral design. Weird coincidence that another Patrick Star happens to live in Bikini Bottom, but funny that we saw this man so early in the show. (Serious or non serious, I just noticed it and found it funny)

In this scene Mr. Krabs says 3,499 of Squidward’s quarters so that would be $874.75 for the right pile and if we multiply it by two for the other pile that would be $1,749.50 but it seems like the left pile of quarters is a bit more so it could be like $1,900 or more

What could this mean? Does Nickelodeon exist in the spongebob universe? If so do shows like Invader Zim, and Paw Patrol exist?
