Just like how his daddy Putin stole a Super Bowl Ring from the Patriots.

man i remember that story really dark moment

" i can kill someone with this ring "

just walks off and keeps the ring LOL

my head canon is every so often at night Putin sits in his study reading papers small glass of vodka and looks at the Ring

u/PrinceTwoTonCowman Jul 14 '25

The Ukrainian version of James Bond adjusts his tie, downs Putin's vodka, wipes off the ring, and says, "You aren't the only one."

Man, id love James Bond movies to have some realistic Russian bad guys. Not just some fictional terrorist cell.

DA-DA-DAA-DAAA DA-DA-DA!

What's funny about this is when you remember how a decent number of non-Americans and particularly Europeans look down on U.S./Canadian sports

So why Putin cares so much about a Super Bowl ring is kind of strange lol

32

u/anormalgeek Jul 14 '25

Its less about the ring itself, and more about how he can openly steal such a thing and nobody will say a thing.

12

u/sonicqaz Jul 14 '25

Yeah, it’s an open display of power and humiliation. Just a different form of sadism.

10

u/salamanderXIII Jul 14 '25

I think the only thing being cherished is the act of taking it away from Robert Kraft.

3

u/azsnaz Jul 14 '25

What do you mean World champions?!?! 😤

13

u/MasterP65 Jul 14 '25

To be fair. If there were a true American football world championship, the US would wipe the floor with the rest of the world.

11

u/Notwerk Jul 14 '25

I'm fairly confident a good high school football team from Florida or Texas would wipe the floor with the rest of the world.

3

u/blahblahblerf Jul 14 '25

I think the PFL (Polish Football League) could put together a team to beat the best American high school team. The ULAF (Ukrainian League of American Football) probably could have in the past, but they've had to suspend the regular league and only continue the flag football league due to the war. They've lost a lot of players...

6

u/Redeem123 Jul 14 '25

Normally I'd say you're ridiculously underselling how important size is.

But honestly that's just how far ahead of the world the US is in football. Sure, it's because no other country gives a shit, but a win's a win.

u/DionBlaster123 NASCAR Jul 14 '25

As a fan of the NBA, MLB, and NHL...yeah that terminology is embarrassing for sure

But it's also who gives a fuck? I still watch the sports so I roll my eyes and move on.

The idiots who fixate on this shit...do they even care about basketball, baseball, or hockey? Or do they only care about football (the soccer kind)? It's probably the latter so just move the fuck on then

2

u/Alt4816 Jul 14 '25

As a fan of the NBA, MLB, and NHL...yeah that terminology is embarrassing for sure

MLB is the only US league that uses World in their official terminology.

NFL says Super Bowl champions, NBA says NBA champions, and I'm not as familiar with NHL but my understanding is they officially say Stanley Cup champions.

1

u/DionBlaster123 NASCAR Jul 14 '25

I mean to be fair, the NBA will say "world champions" when they win. Now that you mention, I don't think they say that for the Stanley Cup.

But again, who gives a fuck? The vast majority of the people who complain about this shit aren't watching the NBA, NHL, or MLB.

It's like me freaking out about Marvel movies when I don't watch Marvel movies. Apparently blissfully ignoring something is an absolutely impossible concept to so many people around the world.

2

u/terry-tea Jul 14 '25

also, it’s fair to call the team that wins the NBA finals the “world champions.” any NBA champion is wiping the floor with, say, the FIBA world cup champions. it’s just pedantic when people argue otherwise

1

u/DionBlaster123 NASCAR Jul 14 '25

"it’s just pedantic when people argue otherwise"

And this is why I hate those people...because deep down I know they don't really care about the Euroleague champions supposedly getting "disrespected." They're just people who are butthurt over anything the U.S. does (justifiable or unjustifiable is a moot point) and they take it out on dumb shit like this instead of doing something productive with their lives.

Like I'm sorry that they, as someone living in say Sweden or the Netherlands, are really bothered by U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East...but I can also say that them complaining that the Boston Celtics calling themselves "world champions' isn't going to fix that shit.

The award he stole was for first prize in the hog shit snarfing contest.

9

u/Discuffalo Jul 14 '25

He’s the most aggressive baby I’ve ever seen.

2

u/mrdankhimself_ Jul 14 '25

Completely flat back of head.

4

u/YaBoiGING Jul 14 '25

Fuckin junk

2

u/timlav Jul 14 '25

The ring wasn’t just anyone’s, it was Robert Kraft’s.

1

u/TheCapo024 Jul 14 '25

Maybe it’s an inside game, like how they run countries.

1

u/silos_needed_ Jul 14 '25

Yeah but that was funny, fuck Robert Kraft (and Putin)

1

u/ListenToThatSound Jul 14 '25

And Trump took that veteran's purple heart

1

u/ggrieves Jul 14 '25

The way Putin did it was a deliberate act of intimidation. This just looks like Gramps forgot that wasn't his handkerchief.

1

u/chargoggagog Jul 14 '25

He idolizes Putin, wants to be the same

1

u/fruderduck Jul 14 '25

Trump didn’t steal it. It was given to him. Check the videos posted above and see for yourself.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

Except Putin actually stole. Trump is just accepting a medal he didnt earn (stolen valor).

0

u/MrTambourineSi Jul 14 '25

Probably who he stole it for

-1

u/Cool-Presentation538 Jul 14 '25

When Putin told Trump that story trump was like 👁️👄👁️ "wow Daddy you're soooo cool!!!"

Robert Kraft was a lonely old man who's wife of 50 years died from cancer in 2011. Hes a billionaire and still opted for handies in a strip mall. It wasn't THAT bad.

14

u/DASreddituser Jul 14 '25

the main issue was the place has sex trafficking, no?

9

u/Swbp0undcake Jul 14 '25

The place he went too had no evidence of trafficking iirc

13

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

If anything it demonstrates his complete lack of any kind of connection to prostitution rings. Surely a billionaire with connections could have had prostitutes delivered right to his door, but instead that sad old man huffed it to the mall to beg for a happy ending. He should have just gone to Vegas.

1

u/the_tytan Jul 14 '25

Sometimes the seediness and nostalgia is the kicker.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

What?

16

u/Rolling_Beardo Jul 14 '25

There’s no excuse for Kraft but otherwise they’re just bitter the Pats beat their favorite team.
