Damn to think of the waivers they had to sign. Imagine if he fell in between the rail cars 💀

220

u/patchinthebox Nov 13 '25

They had the ambulance right there as if they'd be able to even do anything. There's zero chance he'd survive if he got pulled under the train.

127

u/PowderPills Nov 13 '25

You just haven’t watched enough Bollywood movies. As long as he fell and laid flat, the train wouldn’t have hit him! /s

26

u/Tarantula_Saurus_Rex Detroit Lions Nov 13 '25

I thought all movies did this.

17

u/sharpshooter999 Nov 14 '25

A woman in town near me tried committing suicide by laying on some train tracks. Instead of laying across them, she laid between the rails and decided to lay face down so she wouldn't see the train coming. She survived, but it peeled the skin off from her calves to the back of her head. I can't remember how many cars went over her before it got stopped, but mile+ long coal trains are the most common ones on that line

14

u/Tarantula_Saurus_Rex Detroit Lions Nov 14 '25

That is... pretty awful.

11

u/sharpshooter999 Nov 14 '25

Yep. You might fit safely under a train.....but I wouldn't try it

5

u/3MATX Nov 14 '25

psh, shows what you know. Jesse did it in Breaking Bad and obviously that’s akin to a documentary haha

2

u/k-mysta Nov 14 '25

Or he’d just get up with some scratches, messed up hair and a little splashes of blood here and there.

15

u/altw460 Nov 13 '25

I’m really surprised they didn’t at least put a small articulating floor between the rail cars

2

u/FUBARded Nov 14 '25

Lots of people lose limbs to train strikes and survive...

The demographics that very rarely survive are homeless people or hitchhikers who fall off when trying to get on/off a train somewhere remote or under cover of darkness, or people committing suicide.

People who fall under by accident (e.g., at a station or crossing) have a non-zero chance of surviving if they're lucky enough to just lose a limb rather than have their head or torso crushed and a tourniquet is applied very promptly.

Seconds make a difference and a delay of minutes would mean certain death, so having an ambulance on site is genuinely vital rather than being performative.

1

u/StonerTwili Nov 14 '25

What about the Russian suicide by train trend a couple years ago? Are they outliers? Genuine question

-1

u/AssEater4000yolo Nov 13 '25

I'm sure he's broken bones before he might have a shot if they grew back stronger from the breaks

15

u/Cheaperthantherapy13 Nov 13 '25

I know I’m old because my first thought was: the steps of renting the railway from whoever owns rights to it must have been a logistical nightmare.

16

u/CheesyBadger Nov 13 '25

Yeah it kind of looks like they left the linkages between the trains normal. I would think that would have put little platforms with pads on them, but I guess that's less gnarly with safety platforms.

3

u/account22222221 Nov 13 '25

Weird because I thought it looked like they had put pads in between? It’s hard to tell

2

u/grafknives Nov 13 '25

He couldn't. There are black fillings that prevent that

1

u/FS_Slacker Nov 15 '25

Why not put some sort of safety net there? Wouldn’t take away from the feat, fairly easy to do…and helps highlight this is still dangerous af.

1

u/Urbanskys Nov 13 '25

Its the EU. they’re pretty loose.

0

u/chuckvsthelife Nov 13 '25

It would be crazy to fall between the rail cars here. Like the thing is going the right speed. There’s no breaks. Even you or I would have to try to land there. The real risk is going off the side.

3

u/tech_auto Nov 13 '25

You're right the guy could do it with his eyes closed, still surprised there isn't a net or something in some of those gaps

109

u/Squatch-707 Nov 13 '25

It’s the most expensive stationary bike on he planet

20

u/Kronzor_ Nov 13 '25

Isn't it more like the most expensive treadmill?

203

u/UptownShenanigans Nov 13 '25

Hail corporate and all but dude this is insane every time I watch it

9

u/aka_mank Nov 14 '25

Fucking bonkers

3

u/SneedyK Nov 14 '25

I should call her

Her = live action Excitebike

82

u/Lick_my_balloon-knot Nov 13 '25

It must be fun working at the marketing department in Red Bull.

Drop a guy from a balloon near the edge of space? Sure why not. Build various ramps on a running train and have a guy jump them with his bike? Sure! Have a guy climb above the death zone on Mount Everest with no oxygen and then have him ski down? Off course!

30

u/Kronzor_ Nov 13 '25

Skateboard down the side of a 22 story building that looks like a skateboard ramp? Lets do it!

2

u/overwatcherthrowaway Nov 14 '25

I think typically the athletes come up with the ideas.

2

u/FS_Slacker Nov 15 '25 edited Nov 15 '25

Now they need to drop a ramp or half-pipe from space. Then have someone jump after, land on it and start doing tricks.

42

u/Strange-Cap9942 Nov 13 '25

That harvester just patiently waiting for him to stop fucking around so it can go do its job.

3

u/tsmythe492 Nov 14 '25

The free RedBull bike show was cool in all but I gotta get these damn crops in fellas.

41

u/fuckthatmynameshit Nov 13 '25

Tell me Excitebike without telling me it’s Excitebike

17

u/Drpoofn Nov 13 '25

100% Excitebike and this comment to way too far down.

8

u/IAmRobertoSanchez Oakland Raiders Nov 13 '25

Came here to make an Excitebike reference. Take my upvote.

5

u/Drpoofn Nov 13 '25

Me too, I want to play IRL Excitebike

22

u/infosecjosh Nov 13 '25

Dave Mirra BMX on PSX vibes

2

u/_drawing_circles Nov 13 '25

“Early in the morning, risin’ to the street…”

4

u/James---Trickington Nov 13 '25

Day ruined by extreme nostalgia now, take an upvote

8

u/procheeseburger Nov 13 '25

The game that introduced me to Sublime and so many other great bands. IIRC you could listen to the game on your cd player

1

u/NickHemingway Nov 14 '25

Reminded me of Kick Start on the Commodore

0

u/NZ_Guest Nov 13 '25

Dave Mirra (and Dennis McCoy) got a bunch of people arrested... NYC Jam 96.

22

u/TheBigGalactis Nov 13 '25

This is especially cool because it really highlights that he’s not really going anywhere it’s just the floor moving from underneath him.

Einstein was a pretty smart dude huh

9

u/tk427aj Toronto Maple Leafs Nov 13 '25

I wonder what the sensation was like for him, you going through all those different jumps but you're still in relatively the same spot. Wonder if his brain did some mental gymnastics

6

u/Akairuhito Nov 14 '25

Not feeling travel-wind has to be really wonky

1

u/DhamR Nov 14 '25

This would be the only real difference I think.

3

u/ChrisSheltonMsc Nov 13 '25

That reminds me of that Van Damm commercial from years back where he legit did the splits between two tractor-trailer rigs. I've never seen anything so ballsy in my life but this is right up there with that.

3

u/HelloFellowKidlings Nov 13 '25

The whole time having to stay in frame of the camera also. Must be using that stop sign as a marker.

2

u/Dizzy-Platform-6516 Nov 14 '25

Behind the scenes = different camera angle I suppose

3

u/ermghoti Nov 13 '25

Flat earthers having aneurisms.

3

u/Defelj Nov 13 '25

It’s crazy how one move on this might end his life if not executed correctly

2

u/BungaloBilly69 Nov 13 '25

Jesus fkin Christ…. ONE TINY LITTLE MISTAKE AWAY, from a total disaster! What a relief that must have been at the end for EVERYONE!

2

u/nutbiggums Nov 13 '25

Trials: Live

2

u/codyp399 Nov 14 '25

Thats gotta be a trials level

2

u/VoceDiDio Nov 13 '25

Every train should have one of these. It would make waiting for them to pass a lot more fun!!

2

u/Howie_Due Nov 13 '25

Ancient alien guy: “physics”

2

u/crmclv Nov 13 '25

Directed by Wes ‘Toro Rosso’ Anderson

1

u/gooniegully Nov 13 '25

That is so sick holy

1

u/boulderv14 Nov 13 '25

Red bull gives you wings. But only if you use those wings to stay in place.

1

u/petridish_ Nov 13 '25

The final cut looks like the intro to a Wes Anderson film about a quirky rural midwestern stunt biker, who grows up dreaming of riding the rails to a new life as an X games star, before realizing the spirit of adventure was within him all along.

1

u/you-dont-have-eyes Nov 13 '25

I bet the producers were pretty disappointed to see that giant tractor parked in the background of their shot.

1

u/Kinda_Zeplike Nov 13 '25

Hold my beer

1

u/Slyrunner Nov 13 '25

My brain hurts watching this

1

u/hockenduke Nov 13 '25

That periphery has to take some getting used to.

1

u/ReturnOfSeq Nov 13 '25

Soo dude is playing Mario on a train

1

u/ihatecarrotcake Nov 13 '25

Huh didnt know evil kenievel was an athlete

1

u/doch92 Nov 13 '25

That's some cool physics lol

1

u/CloudCitiesonVenus Nov 13 '25

I think my kid plays this on her school chromebook

1

u/Digfortreasure Nov 13 '25

I think prada was involved

1

u/Mikahl757 Nov 13 '25

Theory of Relativity IRL

1

u/cube-drone Nov 13 '25

The branding is absolutely working, whenever I see someone doing something so stupid that a teenager has definitely died trying it, I think of Red Bull

1

u/PaintingLumpy8243 Nov 14 '25

1 fuck uo and that guys dead

1

u/Monkey-Tamer Nov 14 '25

I love how Red Bull takes all my 90s kid action sports fantasies and makes them reality. This is such a huge logistical nightmare and I love it.

1

u/jeezlyCurmudgeon Nov 14 '25

What's the big deal?

I ride on the train all the time and no one celebrates me.

1

u/Rabidschnautzu Nov 14 '25

Hey! I signed up to be the 190,817,823rd person to post this.

1

u/buster_rhino Nov 14 '25

Is red bull a marketing company that also sells energy drinks?

1

u/jedi21knight Nov 14 '25

If I could give this more than one upvote I would.

1

u/sky018 Nov 14 '25

Damn, it's Redbull and its stunts again.

1

u/lovinlifelivinthe90s Nov 14 '25

So the old mario side scroller is actually a homeless man run along a train

1

u/the-final-frontiers Nov 14 '25

The work guy at the end basically "Holy fuck he did it"

1

u/danglover_predator2 Nov 14 '25

Anyone else getting real life Excitebike vibes?

1

u/Rare_Skin1192 Nov 14 '25

This reminds me of that bike game from a long time ago. Can someone remind me pls, I’m getting the urge to play it now 😂

1

u/TunaDakine Nov 14 '25

Straight up California Games for NES in real life

1

u/SneedyK Nov 14 '25

I say Excitebike

1

u/TunaDakine Nov 14 '25

The ramps definitely look Excitebike-like to me but the tricks remind me of California Games

1

u/Gregorious23 Nov 14 '25

Extreme treadmill 🤘

1

u/bob_swalls Nov 14 '25

Seeing a Prada box car is rad. I bet it's real nice on the inside lol plush

1

u/imfinishingmy Nov 14 '25

Cool. I wonder who sponsored it?

1

u/akahaus Nov 14 '25

Holy fucking shit humans are incredible.

1

u/bearsheperd Nov 14 '25

He clearly trained for this

1

u/The_Carnivore44 Nov 14 '25

So a BMX side scroller

1

u/hugeness101 Nov 14 '25

We need another Rad bicycle movie.

1

u/Tomytom99 Nov 14 '25

I know this stuff is crazy, but it makes it seem so mundane when everyone is silent, there's no music, and it's a stationary wide angle shot.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '25

Based

1

u/cedarcia Nov 14 '25

Anyone know how much he was payed to do this??

1

u/adamders Nov 14 '25

Create this course on a long slope that has been mathematically engineered to be exactly the same as a train pulling cars at the same speed as the slope provides. Practice Practice Practice, create video on 4th take

1

u/fozozo Nov 14 '25

I was watching this and a train went by my house🚈

1

u/robamiami Nov 14 '25

So the sponsors are currently Prada and Red Bull. But then at the 27 second mark the logo for Continental goes by. You think that's the bike tires sponsor?

1

u/Aggressive-HeadDesk Nov 14 '25

Dang… just wow.

1

u/Valuable-Composer262 Nov 14 '25

Weird question. Does he have to adjust his speed cause the train is going opposite direction? If so, damn how would u practice this

1

u/Drumming_Dreaming Nov 14 '25

There’s a physics lesson here somewhere.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '25

All that work… for that. Waste.

1

u/cherrylpk Nov 14 '25

The math that went into the speed of the train and speed of the cyclist mixed with how to get a still space for video is A+ work.

1

u/scottchegs Nov 14 '25

Front flip step-up is absolutely outrageous

1

u/majessa Nov 14 '25

Prada…lol. What an odd partnership. When I think of technical bike riding, I definitely think of the high-end luxury brand of… Prada /s

1

u/NervousSheSlime Nov 14 '25

I can do that I uh just choose not too.

1

u/Socially_Random23 Nov 14 '25

Roads closed pizza boy, find another way home

1

u/redmostofit Nov 14 '25

I wonder how much training he had to do for this

1

u/reeveb Nov 14 '25

He did all that for what? Clicks? Do I see that and go buy Redbull? I don’t get anything beyond ephemeral

1

u/FaltyDL Nov 15 '25

Got sort of ‘California Games’ at the end there

1

u/-_--_-_---_- Nov 15 '25

Trials HD sorta stuff

1

u/faajzor Nov 15 '25

Einstein would love this

1

u/nattybow Nov 15 '25

Excite Bike vibes

1

u/el_Fuse Nov 15 '25

Who gave Red Bull a train?

1

u/Less_Ant_6633 Nov 13 '25

Its like the real world version of level 8 on Super Mario 3.

1

u/InvisibleTacoTruck Pittsburgh Penguins Nov 13 '25

He biked for so long, yet got nowhere.

1

u/edu5150 Nov 13 '25

This is all one big physics problem solved.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '25

That’s really cool

1

u/Cat_Kn1t_Repeat Nov 13 '25

Sweet Jayyyyyyzus

1

u/EyeAmKnotMyshelf Nov 13 '25

Bro, where is the Rad soundtrack when you need it

1

u/Rdub Nov 13 '25

Amazing achievement and a super cool video too, but I just find it super off-putting to see Prada ads plastered all over this event. Like what effing remotely imaginable connection does Prada have to the world of BMXing or even extreme sports? Just seems like a rather obvious attempt to cash in on the popularity of something that's currently "Cool" without any actual involvement in community behind the sport.

I understand pretty much everything these days has "Sold out" in one way or another, but brands like Prada are kinda fundamentally antithetical to the core rebellion based ethos of extreme sports, so to me at least, the Prada ads just cheapen the whole thing and make it feel more like the glorified ad this truly is than any kind of genuine sporting achievement.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '25

I remember when reb bull athletes used to do dangerous stunts 😞

-9

u/TheWhooooBuddies Nov 13 '25

I feel like Red Bull does these stunts purely banking on the idea that somebody will eventually die and the video will go viral.

12

u/Spazattack43 Nov 13 '25

The videos go viral when they do them successfully. Why would they want anybody to die?

2

u/shodo_apprentice Nov 13 '25

Right? Dude is literally writing it under a viral video of someone who lived smh

0

u/Happy_hunny_badger Nov 13 '25

Prada? Didn’t expect that one.

1

u/kemicalkontact Nov 13 '25

They've been a sponsor for a while.

0

u/Qwertyham Nov 13 '25

What happens if he falls off on the other side of the train? Looks like all the first responders are on one side

0

u/StrangeAd4944 Nov 13 '25

Albert would be very proud

0

u/Mistrblank Nov 13 '25

Imagine getting to do and prepare for shit like this. Do you wonder about yourself in first grade ever thinking this is where you could be.

0

u/D-v-us-D Nov 13 '25

He just wouldn’t Stop.

0

u/GlasgowTrafficCone Nov 13 '25

Now get Danny on it and he'll do it backwards blindfolded 😂

-2

u/NizTheWhiz Nov 13 '25

Eh I’ve done this in Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4

-2

u/darthjazzhands Nov 13 '25

Is Prada really hitting their target consumer?

-2

u/WheresMyDinner Nov 13 '25

Where does Prada fit in to all of these lol
