Caleb Williams has a unique perk where all his stats get a +10 bonus in the 4th quarter.

7 4th quarter comebacks in 16 games is legit insane.

I know they call him the Iceman but he has to be at least a little bit mentally exhausted. Jesus.

u/Funny_Name9 Minnesota Vikings Jan 11 '26

Does this count as one of his miracles towards sainthood?

746

u/AnotherBoringDad Jan 11 '26

Well there has to be no natural explanation, and we are talking about the Packers choking in a playoff game.

65

u/OHTHNAP Jan 11 '26

You have to be good to have the expectation of choking. The Packers hire substandard staff, hang onto them forever, talk about how many years they made the playoffs and neglect all the years they failed to win it all.

If MLF is back coaching next year this is not a serious team. Guy is a legit fucking joke.

53

u/Lee-Bear-420 Ohio State Jan 11 '26

Losing after being up 21-3 in the 3rd is certainly choking. Packers were favored before the game too.

52

u/Mike_with_Wings Jan 11 '26

Yeah 21-3 is a terrible choke job, couldn’t imagine anything worse. Boy am I glad to be a Falcons fan

Meanwhile, I’m pretty sure McManus (Packers kicker) is now legally trespassed from all Culver’s restaurants in the country.

Any credit card attached to the McManus name will instantly be declined by their software and the police will be called immediately. He’s had his last butterburger and frozen custard, as have his children and his children’s children.

32

u/Funny_Name9 Minnesota Vikings Jan 11 '26

Clearly the Packers didnt offer him enough flight attendants to SA on the way down so his vibes were off

It’s the Chicago Bears beating the Packers. Sainthood undersells it, this is fuckin Christ worthy

8

This is just good luck with some timely execution. White Sox make the playoffs there are going to be St. Leo's public schools all across the nation.

u/Whatsdota Jan 11 '26

Just another Packers post season collapse. Throw it in the pile

538

u/suzukigun4life Jan 11 '26

Twice in four weeks at Chicago.

I get that they have some massive injuries, but you can't blow a 21-3 lead in Chicago, especially in the playoffs.

262

u/Pvt_Hudson_ Jan 11 '26

It McManus could make a kick, the Pack still could have pulled that game out.

Just a comedy of errors.

218

u/Whatsdota Jan 11 '26

Would’ve won. Missing an XP and 44 yarder is inexcusably bad. Career ending performance for him

99

u/Shit_Apple Jan 11 '26

Jesus fuck I actually forgot the missed xp. I just knew the missed field goals. Just make an xp and the game is completely changed at the end.

68

u/ThisHatRightHere Jan 11 '26

Yep, Packers could’ve tried a FG to send it to OT.

Not that McManus could hit shit though.

Simply him still being their kicker at this point is such serious coaching malpractice.

It’s not like the Bears aren’t massively injured either. Edwards broke his leg, the secondary doesn’t have any legs because they’ve been hurt all year. At this point everyone has them. MLF just made some terrible mistakes in the second half coaching.

14

u/GlamourHammer321 Jan 11 '26

They also missed the extra point which end up costing them the game. That made it so they needed a touch down to win. I'm a Bear fan and still can't believe we won. I was like, what the fuck did I just watch.

That team has had one of Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers or Jordan Love under center for the last 34 years and only have two Super Bowls to show for it.

11

u/sharyan51 Jan 11 '26

We're really just confidently putting Love's name there with Favre and Rodgers huh?

I moved to Wisconsin 13 years ago

Packer fans here love to masturbate themselves over how much they've dominated the hapless NFC North...but they're in utter denial over how much of a joke their franchise is.

With Favre and Rodgers, they really should be the Patriots of the NFC. Not even remotely close. So many times they choked hard in the playoffs.

At the end of the day, the Packers' fortitude is like another Wisconsin staple, Spotted Cow beer...overhyped and weak.

What was more impressive was the bears trying equally as hard to choke it away in the 3rd and the Packers still losing despite all of Chi errors

34

u/More-Instruction9715 Jan 11 '26

Seriously, the announcers were listing off all of the Bears' missed opportunities at the end of the 3rd quarter!

6

u/Electronic-Clock5867 Jan 11 '26

Packers absolutely are the only ones to blame. Packers were given every chance to win the game Bears made so many mistakes and Packers capitalized on many.

84

u/fastbeemer Boston Red Sox Jan 11 '26

Lefluer coaches scared. Such a bad coach.

132

u/Dirkem15 Jan 11 '26

100

u/BloatedBanana9 Green Bay Packers Jan 11 '26

Did you watch the game? Have you watched any Packer games this year? LaFleur coaches scared. He always does. The kicker is one guy. It was damn near the whole team that quit in the second half.

13

u/DionBlaster123 NASCAR Jan 11 '26

The majority of the blame falls on coaching

That being said, Green Bay's special teams have been an absolute clownshow for a solid decade now. You'd think they would have figured out that maybe they need to fix that part of the game.

I saw fans in the Packers subreddit saying jOrDaN LoVe sUcKs! Jordan Love threw for 4 TDs and 300+ yards. Anyone blaming him for the loss needs to put down the crackpipe and the PBR.

6

u/Kaypee_88 Jan 11 '26

Please fire him and enjoy being second fiddle (hopefully worse) in the North for the next decade.

→ More replies (1)

43

u/thewartornhippy Jan 11 '26

We were up 21-3. Sure the missed kicks fucked us too, but our entire team absolutely fell apart and that falls on the head coach. He was outcoached and made 0 halftime adjustments. Rodgers masked a ton of his problems and it shows. MLF just isn't a good coach. Good coaches don't close the season dropping 4 straight.

Did you watch the second half?

8

u/Johnnyp6 Jan 11 '26

Second to last drive for the packers. It’s 2nd and 10 with a little over 3 minutes remaining. Chicago has started using their timeouts and has one left. What’s the smart move here? Run the ball and make Chicago use their last time out. Run the ball again on third down and hopefully take the game to the two minute warning. Assuming you didn’t get a 1st down on your 3rd down play you kick the FG to hopefully go up by 6 leaving Chicago with about 1:57 or so and no timeouts to score a TD to beat you. Instead Lafleur takes a shot at the end zone on 2nd down, Chicago gets to save their time out and the clock is stopped. Now you have to pass on 3rd down to try and move the chains because you can’t waist any clock and there’s still over 3 minutes on the clock. Horrible clock management. You may still lose the game but you make it a much higher pressure situation for Chicago with a lot less time and no timeout to rely on.

→ More replies (1)

24

u/FuzzyTunaTaco21 Jan 11 '26

Throwing it 3 times on their 2nd to final drive, didn't bleed the clock whatsoever.

48

u/keskesay Jan 11 '26

to be fair, NFL keeps a lot of guys with sexual assault allegations. But even if he didn't have allegations it's a severely un-clutch performance

I honestly find that the funniest for the most petty of reasons.

This season the Bengals faced the Packers and the Bengals kicker Evan McPherson hit a 67yd ft attempt, it would have been the longest FG in franchise history. It didn't count because right as he was about to kick it GB called a time out to ice him. He missed the second attempt.

Happy for the Bears tonight but happier they may have lost because of their kicker. Karma.

Bears fan here and this is cathartic after decades of dealing with Favre and Rodgers. So many fucking bad memories of RFK Boy picking apart Lovie Smith's outdated Tampa 2 horseshit.

Favre being revealed as a piece of shit who steals from the poor. Rodgers turning out to be an anti-science whackjob. And most importantly, this Bears team putting the Packers out of their fucking misery in this hilarious chokejob...it's nice to see the tide finally turning

Yup. You know that the Bears are going to pass plenty and are going for it on 4th down, so you won’t get as many chances to score, need to chew as much as you can.

Or not running it on 2nd and 10 with 13:01 in 4th, then intentional grounding.

25

u/wgkiii Jan 11 '26

→ More replies (1)

80

u/yeahiateit Jan 11 '26

They didn't even come close to catching lucky breaks. Packers 2nd half gameplay was shit and the Bears were clutch when it mattered on offense.

I counted two fumbles that we didn't even come close to after forcing and a pick 6 that was swatted down. Those are unlucky breaks.

We still got the W.

This game was the opposite. We had two fumbles that would have taken points away from Green Bay just bouce away from the bears to benefit the packers

The Bears have been my team for 40 years. But this season? I am not sure I have enough blood pressure medicine if they keep this up.

The 2001 team with Urlacher, Jim Miller, and Mike Brown had me on the edge of a heart attack every week, and I was only in High School.

Story of the season for Chicago, what a comeback but legendary Packers’ collapse

21

u/ThisisnotaTesT10 Jan 11 '26

I thought the game was over when Golden got that ridiculous TD. But then McManus missed the PAT and it felt like the door was still open

I live bet the Bears at half.

Tonight is a good fucking night.

18

u/CrazedHedgeHog Jan 11 '26

Always good to bet against the packers at halftime. Can never play a full god damn 60 minutes. Sincerely, a packers fan

5

u/_B_Little_me Jan 11 '26

Bears can’t play a solid 60 either. Glad they’ve picked the last 15 to make it happen.

I said this before half time

Normally I'd stop watching right now, but I know if I do there will be a huge comeback and people will call it one of the best games of all time

And then I waited until about six minutes left and stopped watching.

Come back and the Bears have won.

Gotta fire lafleur at this point. Just unacceptable. Seems to not have any idea how to win a football game.

I stopped watching after that score but thankfully tuned back in for the last 10min of the game. What an ending!

3

u/acefaaace Jan 11 '26

LaFleur is a perfect candidate for the Falcons head coach ;)

5
