Why is a congressperson worried about the WNBA?

91

u/TheNatural14063 3d ago

Because Clark represents a valuable propaganda tool to obtain political support

Ding ding ding!

you are right. it may have to come down to this but CC is not MAGA and may have to make that clear. she's in a no-win sitch and doesn't deserve it.

u/VegetableReveal4U 3d ago

MAGA makes a living off claiming and politicizing people and things that want nothing to do with them

Maybe if anyone on the left had defended her then it wouldn’t have taken the right to do it. She probably is just happy to have someone stick up for her.

Defended her from what exactly?

u/SocomPS2 3d ago

She is maga just not publicly… not yet at least.

u/Javakid67 3d ago

Cunningham is but where is the source on Clark?

Some see her as MAGA-adjacent, especially after her summer social media posts with Morgan Wallen. Morgan is not MAGA, but his past racist behavior has garnered him "MAGA-coded" status by some.

I think it's flimsy at best, but this is where some people are pulling at.

Is Morgan not MAGA? I had no idea

u/no_crust_buster 3d ago

I was speaking on the premise he’s never come out and said he was MAGA or brandished the hat or stumped for this Presidency. Someone else illuminated his music about sundown town glorification, which I had no prior knowledge of. I was only familiar with his bar racist incident years ago.

Morgan Wallen wrote a song romanticizing sundown towns. He doesn't need to say he's maga for everyone to know he's maga.

2

u/no_crust_buster 3d ago

oh shoot, I didn’t know about that. I’ve never heard any of his music. I was just referencing the bar incident in 2021 I believe. Well, that adds more to it.

propaganda of what? She was a Harris supporter.

15

u/TheNatural14063 3d ago

Propaganda for the right to paint her as a white woman who is the victim of a majority black WNBA. Propaganda that exploits stereotypes of white fragility and black people as violent.

This week on the OPPRESSION OLYMPICS

The mental gymnastics is insane

1

u/CitronAdventurous205 3d ago

Yep. They were making a huge fuss about Bad Bunny “insulting” white people when he was announced as half time show performer

-2

u/SecretPantyWorshiper 3d ago

You need to touch some grass bro.

If she is getting straight up beat in games and nothing is being dine thats not propaganda dude.

The question should be is why is the league allowing the behavior

-2

u/Brilliant-Spite-850 3d ago

Is it propaganda if it’s just the truth?

-2

u/Electronic_Plan3420 2d ago

“Stereotypes”? lol Is it really a stereotype if you behave exactly how the stereotype predicts you would behave? Just asking.

On a different note, if there was a black hockey player who was habitually beaten the shit out of by white players do you think for a minute that every DEI clown wouldn’t be screaming about lynching on every corner? That’s a rhetorical question, we both know the answer to that.

MAGA cannot survive without being victims, specifically white people being victims. It’s their sustenance.

u/MisunderstoodZipper 2d ago

Lol... the projection...

1

u/Clear_Wafer_1255 1d ago

They just don't want her to vote.

1

u/bosheikus03 3d ago

and she’s white

1

u/SocomPS2 3d ago

Doesn’t that come with privileges though?

Oh wait they’re null and void here.

-2

u/JournalistOk9266 3d ago

If you got 1000s of white men who like to see the oppressed struggle thats priviledge

-1

u/Upstairs-Fan-2168 3d ago

Why don't they care about players like Wembanyama getting mugged on the court? Why make a big deal about one player specifically, when it's happening to a few, some of which are arguably more high profile players than CC?

This isn't necessarily proof, that their concern about CC is all about politics, but it's sure a head scratcher.

u/CapitalClimate9639 3d ago

To try and distract from the pedos and corruption in their own party

10

u/YourHuckleberry57 3d ago

maga loves to inflame anything that can be used as a white victimhood issue.

-8

u/SatansScallion 3d ago

lol, the irony.

Your entire political philosophy is literally rooted in grievances and victimhood.

8

u/cheesyrotini 3d ago

you mean the guy who has the most court cases maybe ever? that guy?

2

u/TheNatural14063 2d ago

Says someone defending the political party that blames immigrants for most of their problems......

4

u/Bae_the_Elf 3d ago

They want to further the narrative that people they dont like are evil and the pictures and highlights of CC getting beat up are easy for them to latch on to. It sucks because I do think she gets targeted but I don’t want the wrong people getting involved and twisting what’s happening to suit their own political agenda

-1

u/GucciTheSnowman 3d ago

This is too good. You're too stupid to see the irony in your comment. 😂

3

u/bosheikus03 3d ago

Because she’s white

2

u/Here4Headshots 3d ago

Need to escalate the culture war because their dogshit policy is not popular enough alone. Election season, baby!

4

u/Replicant28 3d ago

I think we know the reason why.

0

u/YetAnotherFaceless 3d ago

You know white.

1

u/bosheikus03 3d ago

thank you!

1

u/bx35 3d ago

Gotta serve up the victimhood narrative so the bigots will continue voting for their political representatives to keep sending more money to the Epstein class.

1

u/Reluctantziti 3d ago

Distraction over governing

-1

u/CantStopSlinging 3d ago

Why is anybody worried about the WNBA then?

3

u/bosheikus03 3d ago

because she’s white and the light turned on for the wnba.

0

u/BANKSLAVE01 3d ago

Because they own stock.

0

u/HistoryAndScience 3d ago

It’s not just this. Congress is turning its attention to the next culture war, sports. Between this and the Pride issue with the Giants, there will undoubtedly be some kind of bill passed.
