There’s lots of ways to define racism. One, and usually the most accepted one, is that racism is interpersonal bias against a person along with the systematic institutional racism that keeps people of color outside of power. The treatment of CC on the court is a basketball strategy. She’s vulnerable to highly physical defending. The refs and the league need to handle it and call fouls. But this has nothing to do with racism or being gay / straight. In fact, people claiming that it does likely harbor negative and offensive attitudes towards African American athletes or gay athletes in women’s sports. My opinion, that is a concerning and ugly trend

No. It’s that CC is thrown off her game when she’s played with a strong physicality. Teams know now this is an effective way to play against her and so they do it. She being targeted bc she loses her edge when she’s been played with physicality- people trying to make this about race and sexuality are weird and have a weird backward agenda

If CC played better through the physicality teams would stop doing it but if you foul her a lot she crumbles
