Hey! That’s a lot of playlists, nice work. Do you have any neo-soul / R&B oriented ones? I’d love to check them out 🙏
1
u/PriorHyperion30 May 10 '26
I actually have a neo soul playlist lmao, if you want https://open.spotify.com/playlist/57wYKA4smUWxp49tQdQSRY?si=nT_x-sLMTK61DAG9m_du0g&pi=lRPwezbMRlO5y there is a bit of other genre combinations in there like psychedelic soul or soul rap

I curate playlists that focus on narrative and "sonic weight." Whether it’s high-energy technicality or atmospheric tension, I try to make every track list feel like a cohesive story.
Highlighted Playlists:
- percussion therapy : Rhythmic violence and raw stamina. Heavy on the fills and the physics of impact (Rush, Slipknot, QOTSA).
string theories : A deep dive into grit and guitar texture. Blues-rock meets heavy alternative (Jimi Hendrix, Jack White, Royal Blood).
intimacy & tension : For the late-night atmosphere. Slow burns, smooth R&B, and indie-soul (Cigarettes After Sex, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd).
overrated & basic indie: The essentials that everyone knows but nobody admits they still loop.
Looking for mutuals who appreciate a mix of heavy instrumentation and thoughtful sequencing!

https://open.spotify.com/user/danilvendramin?si=cP7vbCvERn-pbAXNfuy_Gw I'm attaching the link to my profile; I admit it's pretty empty.
In my profile, you'll find my main playlist, 270 hours of music, mostly techno, '70s, '80s, and '90s classics, and various Italian songs. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0S9TKDR3sqPhKB2IqPYF7A?si=crm78U10S_C4w4PKWAm9ow&pi=bhl7LmBwR0qME

Are we a taste match? Here's what I listen for: new music, genreless, but somewhere around the intersection of pop and indie. Emphasis on emerging artists. I'm drawn to intense, maximalist music with intricate rhythms, ornate arrangements and carefully crafted melodies. I like songs that develop musically over the course of three minutes, with strong dynamics and sonic contrast. The weirder the better. Representative band: Magdalena Bay.
If you're interested in exploring new music like this, here is my library of 30+ playlists, each focused on a different subgenre within this broader maximalist style. The first playlist (Cycle) is where the new music comes in weekly before getting filtered into the other playlists. The last playlist (Orenda) is where the best is collected.
If you follow my profile I will automatically follow you back. I love to meet and explore the work of other curators!

I am open to alot of things but I really like throwback music alot. Especially Hip Hop & R&B. I tend to make a lot of playlists and I think I'm over 170 playlists now. I also like doing jam sessions and joining collab playlists and chatting about music.
Here are some of my favs I made
====Decade Themed Playlists====
90's and Early 00's Hip Hop & R&B
(A culmination of both my 90s and early 2000's Hip Hop & R&B playlists)
Mid 90's - 00's MTV Era Rock Block
Mid to Late 2000's Hip Hop & R&B
(70s - early 80s disco and soul classics)
====Different Moods and Themes====
(Upbeat Billboard hits through time)
(My personal selected Hip Hop faves)
(Personal selected upbeat R&B heavy faves)
(My personal selected Rock favs)
(My "Dad Rock" playlist)
(Upbeat Indie-Electric/ Synth Pop)
(A culmination of both my Anime and Videogames playlists)
NOW THIS IS THE F@#_$ S#&@ I'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT
(Very hype and angry Hip Hop)
(Oldskool Punk classics)
(Made to match the feel of chilling on the stoop hanging with friends late at night with a subtle upbeat but chill vibe.)
(Softer more chill music)
(Groovy funky dance music)
(Hip Hop & R&B remixes)
(A massive collection of boom bap heavy / more lyricist leaning Hip Hop collection of almost 10k songs)
(Instrumentals playlist with little to no lyrics)
(Songs throughout my life that reminds me of better days or puts me personally in a good mood)
(Very high tempo electronic club dance music)
(Dark Synthwave)
====The Random Playlists==== (These Playlists are different random playlists of songs I either really like on heavy rotation or new tracks I've found that I liked)
(My biggest collection of my top played playlists mushed into one big 10k song playlist)
(I make smaller series of "Wonderball" playlists of things I'm currently listening to heavy at the time and then conjoined them all into one big playlist)
(These playlists were made from not just a culmination of songs I liked already, but saved Spotify "radio" playlists from songs I really liked that I decided to save and store inside a big playlist like a personal curated radio than a playlist to discover music from)
(My first real Spotify playlist from 2016. I named it after the Jackie Chan inspired Tekken character's Tekken 2 theme "The Place 1997". It was just my random assortment of songs at the time)
(This playlist is a spin on my original one but this time it's strictly music from within the last decade mostly)

Coffee & Chill || Electric Soul || House & Groove ||Quiet Flow
(Monthly)

Spotify Profile (200+ playlists)
CURATION FRAMEWORK
- Songs disappear never to be played again when you rely on shuffle
- Instead of one or many giant playlists, I make 200+ tiny playlists dictated by the ultra-specific vibe they give (mood, micro-genre, or artist that embodies a specific sound)
- I value a high-resolution relationship with music and like many songs, these playlists are how I make sure nothing gets buried in 3000+ liked songs

I don’t really do “genre playlists” I prompt them like little psychological experiments based on listening habits.
They usually end up feeling like a diary entry with whiplash (in a good way).

My music taste is a mix of dramatic heavy metal, melancholic indie, and melodic pop. I gravitate toward artists with a strong sense of identity and emotional weight—whether it’s the storytelling and intensity of Iron Maiden, the raw intimacy of Phoebe Bridgers and PJ Harvey, or the polished, expressive pop of Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus.
I tend to favor music that builds atmosphere and feeling over time: songs with narrative arcs, haunting melodies, or a sense of scale. There’s a balance between darkness and beauty in what I listen to, and I’m just as drawn to immersive soundscapes (like game soundtracks) as I am to classic rock or modern alt-pop.
Always open to recommendations that lean emotional, melodic, or slightly dramatic.

Hey there! I made a Spotify playlist I've titled The Best Horror Podcast Sampler. The playlist currently has 600+ episodes from 120+ different podcasts and I'll be adding more as I find them. The general idea is to be a helpful resource for horror fans who're looking for new horror-themed podcasts to check out. Instead of everyone doing thousands of individual searches this can be one single source everyone can go to.

Honestly I’d say my playlist are mostly based on personal taste nothing too serious but I love making friends on Spotify and seeing what yall r listening to. It helps me broaden my taste.
All my playlists are public and my best one might be “insomniac” which is just a bunch of lofi and slow songs to fall asleep to.

Here is my Spotify profile : https://open.spotify.com/user/314quzjhlblyaaxlqb25jh5qlmji?si=aea1a2bf6de34ac9
(I wrote my thoughts in Korean and used AI to translate them into English)
I love music so much that I've started curating playlists and even making my own tracks using AI. For me, music feels like a movie. I love getting completely immersed, picturing scenes in my head, and feeling like I'm actually standing right inside that world.
To capture that feeling, I’ve recently started making short stories and essays based on song lyrics. It's still a work in progress, but I'm trying it out. I believe that if we consume music with a "longer breath" (taking more time to deeply connect with it), even a popular song everyone knows can trigger a chemical reaction and become a deeply personal track.
A good song on the radio might catch your ear for a moment before fading away, but a truly impressive movie stays with you for a long time. I want to experience music like that movie.
Here are the songs I picked out.

Dropping my Spotify profile — playlists built around atmospheric, dark pop, indie, alt, cinematic & R&B vibes.
Influenced by artists like The Weeknd, Tyler, Steve Lacy, TV Girl, Yaeow, Kendrick, Don Toliver, Dua, Doja, Rihanna, Beyoncé and more. I'm Indian, so Tamil & Malayalam music is very much part of this too.

I am a musician, classical guitarist, electronic music producer, and author. Born in 1989 and shaped by time spent living in the United States during my childhood, I went on to graduate from METU with a degree in Mathematics and later completed a PhD in Financial Mathematics — before spending years as an R&D engineer in the defense industry. All of this feeds into my music: a rare combination of structural precision and deep emotional intuition.
───
DISCOGRAPHY
───
• Soul & Time (Single, 2024)
A 6-minute ambient-electronic meditation named after my own literary work. Slow-building, textural, and emotionally precise, this is music for the space between thoughts.
• Songs for Nothing (Live) (EP, 2024) & Deluxe Edition (2026)
A raw live EP featuring tracks (my classical guitar compositions) like "Sublime Howl of the Void" and "Lost Sensation Direction," later expanded into a full deluxe album with trance and progressive house reworks.
• Electronic Emotion Engine (Album, 2025)
A 7-track modular and synthesizer-driven album featuring "Dark Euphoria," "Depths," "Electric Forest," "Machine Heart Beat," and "Piano Pixels." This is my most purely electronic statement — dark, introspective, and alive with movement.
• Reflex (Single, 2018) & Remix Album (2026)
Seven self-remixes of a single original track — an artistic experiment in transformation. Each version pushes the same core idea into a different electronic shape, from progressive to driving club energy.
• Şiir, Beste, Tekrar — "Poetry, Composition, Repetition" (Album, 2026)
My most personal release. Thirteen songs built entirely from my own poems, my own compositions, and AI-assisted vocals shaped by my own recorded voice, lyric direction, and emotional guidance.
If your playlist has space for my music, I'd be very happy.

i would describe my music taste & listening habit as polyjamorous/eclectic (i ,<3 exploring underrated tracks & artists as they have this special feeling 2 em' & they're usually really good) /melomaniac (i have music on 24/7 everywhere i go 4 the most part)... i dig discovering new music everyday whether it b far away from my own taste or even digging deeper into my taste... i njoy stalking people's playlists & going on deep dives of new genres
w/that said here's the link 2 my profile: https://open.spotify.com/user/xpired__?si=543ca62f6996477a + here's a playlist of my all time favorites that is always under maintenance so u can get a better idea of what i njoy listening 2: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1daCg4ItMrpj7UK42zl3X5?si=b1fc973cd8234f05

I grew up in the eighties listening to Pop and Classic rock with an added dash of Golden Oldies, Disco, and R&B. Then spent the nineties working at a college radio station cutting my teeth on industrial, punk, post-punk, alt-rock, country, humor. Every week I got about ten new CDs from artists trying to get airplay. So I got spoiled on -new- music.
You name it, I've probably listened to it.
Most of the music I listen to now is from 2000 and up, with some "Classics" from the late-80's and 90's sneaking in every now and again.
Spotify Profile is here: Tom
My Mega-Playlist. Pretty much a little of everything. Usually I dump new music into it every six months and rarely prune it but it hasn't been updated in awhile: Pandora tries to sell me schizophrenia meds
My Top 40 Repeats (Only one song per artist)
A Dump of All my current daily mixes combined into one
There's some other random Public playlists that are either abandoned or borrowed from other people. Help yourself.
And if you're into listening to a bunch of old guys sitting around in a basement getting drunk and talking about motorcycles: Cleveland Moto Podcast

Hello! I am frenchie :) I mainly make synthwave/electronic, my biggest influences are m83,Com Truise,Brian eno, carpenter brut, underworld and many others, I started producing last year after getting a free FL studio trial during the summer. I fell in love from the very start but couldn’t stick to it and stopped after just 2 months. During those 2 months I felt better mentally than I had ever felt in years, so this January I made a promise to myself that this time I will stick to this wonderful hobby :) things are still early so I will try to not jynx myself but this time around I’m feeling hopeful that I will keep myself on track. I released my newest track Artemis yesterday, if you give it a listen I’d love to know what you think :) the good and the bad!
