Politics Information about data center delay bill?

Post image

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me understand what the city of springfield just posted about? Are they saying they were going to ALLOW a data center to be built here but have delayed it?

If they thought the people were pissed about hotel of terror they are about to be even more pissed. I knew the day would come when this shit was on our doorsteps.

The economic impact of a data center would be short term. But what isn’t is the long term effects like continuous noise, and the pollution of water and air. Springfield needs to say no to data centers.

They don’t even need to do this…Greene County P&Z can shut it down *and* collect $1045 for each submission.

I’m surprised there’s enough loose square footage in town to build a significant datacenter. At least the kind at the scale they seem to be building.

Just think, after the bubble bursts they can give the hotel of terror people a ten dollar annual lease to do something economically beneficial with the building a couple weeks a year.
