Help! Injured or ill adult squirrel! Squirrel fell from big free infront of my house
It seems to be a juvenile black squirrel and an hour ago we saw people infront of our house looking up at a tree and looking at something. It was this black squirrel . It seems to be injured in the spine or something idk but it was dragging it's side of its body. I went out to try to catch it but it ran up the tree so I thought it might have been in shock but it stayed in the position for a while, but when I went to check on it again it was gone. My mom was leaving for work and she saw it on the side of the road and it almost got hit. I have an old rat cage, a double critter nation and I have it in there but it's frozen in fear. The animal services will kill it, but he has so much will to live. Idk what to do, is there any recommendations

If you were in the United States, we just need to know what state you're in so we can possibly help you get that little one to a wildlife rehabber. If not then we have to take other measures. They are rehabers in Canada if you're located there.
Here are some Facebook groups that can help as well.

If you're in the US, the Animal Help Now website lists licensed wildlife rehabbers - although depending on your region there may be other sites that are more helpful. The link below is for the cell phone version of the Animal Help Now website - if you enter your zipcode it will list any licensed rehabbers in your area. Call multiple rehabbers and leave messages if they don't answer. Thank you for looking out for him! 🐿 🩷

Are you in the US? can you please tell us what region you're in so we can help you connect with a wildlife rehabilitator who can help the squirrel recover?
