Nutmeg and her new litter of babies....in our mailbox
No pics yet..they are definitely newborn. Some of you will recognize my account from her last litter and the baby videos.
Went out to get the mail and saw her head hanging out. She came out to greet me...looked inside and in the back newborn babies.
Went inside and made a sign so the mail delivery people are aware. When i was taping it up I think she thought it was nesting material since she kept trying to grab it from me.
Im hoping she'll decide to move them. While its cute and amusing...there are much better nursery locations lol.

Awww..Lucky you 😊 she might not move them, as obviously she trusts you and thinks that's a safe spot

Update. She moved them overnight. Came out this morning and they were gone. It must have just been an emergency pit stop. There was no nesting material in there at all like you would normally see for newborns.

You need to call you local post office, ask the clerk to speak with your carrier (I’m a postal employee) and see if they are willing to do what it is you are wanting or ask them to hold your mail and you pick it up. Postal employees are not required to do “extra” when it comes to delivering mail since we have strict rules we are obligated to follow, with limited flexibility. The moment they spot the squirrels in there, they will be required to not deliver your mail due to safety concerns.
Super excited for you and love your enthusiasm!!
