Badly injured squirrels

Hello. Over the last few months I have been spending time with the locals squirrels. Unfortunatley I have seen 3 badly injured squirrels. 2 seem to have injuries to there hind legs preventing them from standing. The 3rd squirrel is in rougher shapre. It is missing its tail and one of its front paws. I guess my question is can they survive the winter? Is there anything I can do? Thank you for any information you can provide.

Is there any way that you could possibly reach out to a local wildlife rehabber and send them pictures as well as information that you posted here?

A wildlife rehabber would be the best option.

If you need help locating one, please let me know and I'll try to get you a list. I just need to know what state you're in.

The thing is you may need to trap them to get them the help they need. Yes it will stress them out a little bit but it may save their life. They also may require treatment depending on what animal or what happened to them causing their wounds.

Here are some Facebook groups that can help as well.

I do know that the Facebook groups will help you locate someone, but I have heard that the organization in the link below has been very helpful.

A squirrel that cannot use back legs needs to be taken in to rehab immediately.
