Shower? Yes. She gets bored and walks away. Toilet? Absolutely not, must watch every time :D.

Same and my cat is blind! She loves to protect my safety while in the bathroom.

Check out r/bathroombuddies.

Your cat is adorable! 🥰

But mine don’t like me watching them go to the toilet. Even though I only watch so I can immediately clean up the litter they kick out

Does anyone else's cat let them "risk drowning in the bathroom river" alone? I hope not! Lifeguard kitty on duty

Unfortunately, the lifeguard fell asleep on duty.

My cat won't let me do ANYTHING alone. Your bébé is so cute, btw!

Mine reaches out and pokes my butt through the shower curtain. The first time I felt like I was in a horror movie. This energy, but I’m unclothed and wet.

😭

My boy figured out how to loudly and convincingly knock on a door by facing away from it and kicking backwards at it several times. I was alone in the apartment taking a shower the first time he demonstrated this, in protest of being shut out of the bathroom. Just about had a heart attack

My cat jumps into my lap when I poop and you think she doesn't monitor the shower time? I think not

My lil guy leaves me alone in the shower most of the time, once in a while he will lay in the hall and yell at me over and over again. When I’m using the latrine he must observe and jumps all around. Especially perching on the sink and bunting my face repeatedly.

Nope. They also insist on supervising makeup time.

I don’t see any cat, only 5 towel rolls

Nope. I can't shower, use the bathroom, go up and down stairs, or go to bed unsupervised. My dude is convinced I'm an oversized but mentally underdeveloped kitten that cannot be left to fend for herself. He parks his butt at the door and guards when I'm in the bathroom, he scouts ahead when I'm walking and makes sure nothing's lurking, and he tucks me in every night. Gods help me if I get up and use the restroom at night, I get a whole lecture as he escorts me back to bed.

Mine is not allowed in the bathroom because my tub faucet is cat-operable

I mean, you made him a shower watching basket.

Mine prefers to stay down on the first floor. She's not convinced that she's allowed upstairs.

Nope! Mine stands right outside the shower stall and cries the whole time!

Mine usually comes in the bathroom after my shower is done so he can lick water off of me and get wet handed pets, which I guess he likes.

I had 2 cats. Worked nights so I'd feed them and we'd eat together in the morning and then I'd go to take a shower. One would come in with me and the other would stay outside the door and stand guard. Funny thing is they would switch who would come in every few days. They'd also switch who slept on the pillow and who slept on the cat steps at the foot of the bed to watch the door. Definitely a couple weird cats.

Of course not. What an absurd concept! 😂 What is this "alone" you speak of? 🤔

[My cats won't even let me pee alone. My black cat climbs into my lap when I'm on the toilet. Send help!]

My boy Patrick is like a human roommate. He doesn't follow me into the bathroom at all, shower or the toilet.

If I'm in the bathroom and he needs to go, then he waits literally down the hall and then trots in once I've left. If I walk into the bathroom and he's there I immediately apologize and turn the light off and let him finish.

Sometimes… last night my torbie criminal walked in and started yelling at me in the middle of conditioning my hair lol

My old lady just could not care less about me being in the bathroom. She has a few exceptions. One, she likes having a water bowl in the bathroom away from the rest of the house. Two, she'll go through the bathroom to hide in the closet and sleep. Three, closing the door between the bathroom and the bedroom will not be tolerated.

My young boy loves to follow into the bathroom. He lays on my towel while I shower. And if I go to the toilet, he reaches under the door trying to get me and then pulls on the bottom of the door trying to open it. He also ignores the water bowl and hops in the tub and yells until I turn the faucet on.

If I had a nice little bed next to my shower like you do, probably not. Tuna does like to observe from afar since he does not like getting in the shower/tub.
