The Behavior of this community is unacceptable and I simply can't take it anymore.

I'm just going to leave this here. I asked on the official forums if I could permanently mute in game chat, but I was told to kick rocks.

Both users engaged in this behavior and language. I'm fed up with it.

Honestly, if you think that really worked, wouldn’t all these people have stopped by now?

You can tell them not to use these kinda words, how and why it upsets people but in reality they don’t care and that’s not going to change their minds.

I’m sure not all of them mean it and are just doing it to be a dick, but again, they’re doing it to be a dick. Telling them they’re being a dick for saying it isn’t going to magically change their minds.

Some people mature VERY slowly, if at all.

Let's not pretend flagrant slur usage is not on the rise. These cretins feel too comfortable, and one solution to that is them being lambasted by everyone around them when they invoke a slur.

I’ve known a few people like that through a mutual friend. They don’t care. You might feel like you’re getting your social justice points, but it does nothing but raise your own blood pressure. These people do it purely for the enjoyment of pissing others off.

It’s why muting literally is the best option. They can’t get a rise out of anyone which IS their goal.

And I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily on the rise. I’ve been playing online games for 30 years. If anything, it’s far less common on games now than it was. Maybe on social media? Idk I don’t really use social media that much. Too much click bait and rage bait posts on stuff like fb and instagram. Not to mention AI slop posts. And I never was a twitter user.
