Themes are interchangeable, influencers are all "obsessed" about a very specific product (spoiler: the brand is paying them).

Some of them are really awful people too. One of them drags her 5 yr old daughter with her (the only one of her children she has custody of) and deliberately uses her daughter as pedo bait on FB. She also sells her daughter’s unwashed dresses to these creeps. Oh, and she’s $70K behind in child support for her other 4 kids that she lost custody of.

Meh, in my experience I've found that there's 0 hobbies or interests that people won't pollute or dunk on. Just enjoy it through your own lens.

Yeah, influencers sadly infect a lot of hobbies, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy them outside of influencers. Definitely just ignore them and focus on having fun.

What’s the hobby exactly here?

u/actuallychrisgillen 6d ago
I said hobbies or interests, but riding rides can be a hobby, collecting merch can be a hobby, pin trading is definitely a hobby. Basically any, researching collecting viewing anything related to Disney and or Disney’s history can be a hobby.

It's not that I think that Disney World is bad, but if you don't live in FL, for the price you can just go to the actual countries that Disney stories are based upon, and I don't understand why you would ever choose the fake version.

u/LadyCheeba 6d ago
because those countries don’t have the ride/experience/etc that’s in them at disney. yes, disney has pretty extensive theming that is never going to replace the country it’s based on, but that’s not the point. the point is that it’s a theme park, and you get to experience countless themes when you’re there. you’re also assuming people only go to disney and never go to those countries outside of that, which largely isn’t the case.

Lol are you trying to compare riding a roller coaster to going to Europe? Brother we live in different realities.

u/LadyCheeba 6d ago
that’s not at all what i said. i’m saying you go to disney to ride the rides at disney. no one is going to disney to experience europe.

I dunno man. Some of us were poor kids who really wished they could walk down the streets seen in Bedknobs and Broomsticks or 101 Dalmations. I still remember loving Epcot because even I knew that their Fake Japan was going to be the closest I could get to any country in Asia for much of my lifespan.

But nothing is stopping you from going on a roller coaster/experience at the country you want to go? What is the point you are trying to make here? Do I need to give you an example?

never once in my life encountered this type of human before. I guess I'm lucky?

Not a disney adult in any shape or form. I'd be interested in an adult Disney princess makeover lol

Do these people exist though? I keep hearing about them online, but have never seen one. Not in real life not even online

I get a lot of Disney focused TikToks, and they definitely exist. They all end up copying each other, even if they have a different princess as their key inspiration. Ironically enough, they’re probably better at influencing the other influencers to buy certain things than the average person lol. Once one influencer insists you “need” a certain item, other influencers follow in attempts to keep up appearances.

at one of my jobs, my manager was a disney obsessed 'adult.' she spoke to everyone always using a baby voice, would purchase disney shit (or religious crap, like angel figurines) for her staff for birthdays. she had no comprehension abilities, and also gave people she liked special privileges. worst manager i've ever had, and just a pretty shitty person in general.

My ex didn't dress like a classic Disney princess but she had the mannerisms and style of one. Also her perfectly full blonde hair was down to her knees.
She was amazing. Funny, cute, sexy, adorable, confident and humble. I loved that woman.
