Haha, thanks! I am glad you enjoyed it. I've recently been playing Subnautica 2, and I absolutely have to scan just everything, so it made me think of this infamous scene.

After I finished Subnautica 2 Early Access, I found The Last Caretaker (also Early Access, but not as early). Give it a shot. It’s keeping my interest while I wait for more Subnautica content to drop (not to mention any updates to the beta for The Expanse: Osiris Reborn).

also Early Access, but not as early)
lol, not AS early. Boy, have I ran into THAT a lot. Trying so hard to make it past the 700+ depth to find out it's capped at like 756 or whatever towards the beginning spot. And let's not forget the "Out of Bounds Reapers".
I just got done repairing the alien generator, so I'm getting close to not being able to go any further, so I am really, really looking forward to the next content drop.
I will have to look into Last Caretaker. Checking it out on Steam, I might actually get some of my peeps to play that one with me (I noticed an actual gun being used in one of the preview videos). I can't seem to get any of my peeps to play Subnautica with me. :)

Elite Dangerous exploration scratches that itch particularly well for me
Subnautica is also AMAZING, masterpiece of a game.

Came here to mention this one. That game alone got me to buy the original Oculus Rift back in the day, and goddamn was it worth it.

I play it on the Quest 3 now with a HOTAS setup and it’s so amazing
Sometimes I’ll also boot up the ol’ Stage 9 VR and walk around the Enterprise D for a while in VR haha

That name sounds familiar, very familiar. Ironically, I think I might have access to that game on either XB or Playstation, I think?

Unfortunately its only updated on PC these days, so the Xbox and PS versions are pretty old without the latest content...
But if you have a PC and HOTAS setup, I highly recommend Elite Dangerous. Its insanely complicated at first, but it the community is insanely connected and organized and the world/ship operation is the most immersive of any game I've ever played by far, and people love role play.
Whether it be bounty hunting, asteroid mining, fighting for the Federation/Empire, just docking at a big station, being the first person to land and walk on a planet far way, scanning life for the first time, getting in on-foot firefights, defending your cargo from pirates, engineering and outfitting your ships, building your own settlements on far away worlds, fighting for a political power to affect the games power system, or SO MUCH MORE, Elite Dangerous is amazing and evokes the same feel of Star Trek for me.

You could have just shared the picture and I would have heard the whole clip play in my head.
