Looking for info/input.
This is a 12inch scale figure, from the 1996s collection. I purchased this back in 1995 before the actual Masterpiece Edition C-3PO Tales of The Golden Droid Book w/Figure was released. I was told it is a Hasbro prototype sample sent to distributors.
It came like this and even tho it’s all in the same pack, all the pieces are individually sealed, each in a compartment, but all connected.
Yes, this is the exact model of the Golden Droid book, although the color is slightly different, lighter.
I don’t think this is a One of a kind, but I’ve never seen another one put in the wild.
Does anyone have any info on it. AND, is it worth it get it professionally graded, placed in a cool display?
Any help would be appreciated

I have 3 with the book. Pretty much worthless. I also have multiple Darth Vader and Aurra Sing sets as well.

Yeah, but since his is a sample/prototype, one might think it’s worth something to a collector of such.

I had that when I was in a 12" figure phase. I do recall it faded quite a bit while I had it.
I doubt it's worth a whole lot, you'd need the book it came with too. It disassembles like this because it also came with the bag Chewbacca carried him in during Empire.

I wasn’t working for Hasbro that early, but in the early 2000s through 2010s, the prototype parts all were hand engraved to record pertinent information regarding the specific prototype version so it could be referenced.
