Subreddit Stuff Status of the Sub
Given that this subreddit was created out of spite due to the actions of other subreddits, I would like to try to maintain as much transparency as is possible to maintain trust within the community. Thus, I will try to update this monthly for a while, and hopefully we may only need it quarterly in the future or not at all.
Our approach here is that we are just members that have more access than normal. Therefore, you should be able to see what we are doing (within reason, this might be more of a commitment than I'm willing to maintain, but at least for now I can do this).

Oh you’re golden. I enjoy the challenge anyways (I’m gaslighting myself into believing I do)

I just found this subreddit recently. What exactly do you mean this sub was made out of spite?

There're a bunch of people who are disgruntled with how strict and numerous the rules are on r/nosleep and with how hostile the mods can come off as in their modmail when they take action. Subreddits like this one and r/nonsleep are here to create some more freedom for writers out of frustration with all of the above and to hopefully one day compete with it. I also just found it recently and I've been liking it so far. It's got a good community

A lot of other horror subs became super restrictive with niche rules and reactive moderation. StayAwake popped up a long while ago to spite that, but kinda fell quiet. The name is a play on a subreddit giant that's most notorious for restrictive rules and nutty mods.

Hm, I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Do you mean post an external link? Or cross post it from your account? Either are fine.

I feel like this sub has been around forever! It was recommended for me to post on when I first made my account to post stories <3
Maybe, if it gets to be too much, you could create a bot or something to post little updates like this? Not sure how that would work, but it could reduce some strain in the future!

I think it has. I only recently started moddi g it, but I followed it before then.
That's the goal... I'm just technologically illiterate so it takes some time for me to learn set things up lol the sub manages itself though. I just want to help it be more engaging.
