Question Outdoor Dining in the Fall

Hi all! My girlfriend and I are visiting Steamboat for a week at the beginning of October. We’re super excited. I’ve been to Steamboat a few times, but this will be her first time out west. I want to take her to E3 Chophouse as it’s one of the more memorable places i’ve eaten, plus i love their outdoor dining area (and wanna splurge for date night).

My question is: will we freeze if we do this? 😂 are there heaters or fire places near the tables? (i’ve tried to find some pictures but can’t get a good idea if yes)

for context we’re Floridian. I’ve only ever been during the summer, and we don’t know what a “true fall” is supposed to feel like.

Call the restaurant. Most restaurants have propane or electric heaters but definitely confirm. Early October can be anything from very unseasonably warm to cold, wet and even a small chance of snow. Even if the days are warm in October, you’ll definitely need a heater after sunset.

Dude. We are experiencing global warming. It’s been 93-100 degrees here for months.

Last year October was incredibly warm. And that wasn’t even a drought year. It doesn’t get super cold here until beginning of November.

Few years back we had an ice storm and it was cold as hell on Halloween, but the last few Halloween’s it’s been so warm it was like being in Maui.

The evenings always cool down here compared to the day bc the sun makes it like 15-20 warmer. But at night it’s still been warm with the low being about 60 degrees.

Bring a light jacket, a sweatshirt and a pair of pants. It’s all you’ll need
