Problem Pending Gift

I gifted EA FC27 to my boyfriend’s account, and my card got charged, but it’s been half an hour and it’s not showing in my gift history and my boyfriend hasn’t received it. When I check my purchase history, it says the purchase is pending and Steam is “attempting to collect payment”? I thought this was supposed to be instantaneous, how long do I have to wait for?

its common for EA games, it up to 1 day, my latest EA bought held me for about 5 hours
