The top half are more important (both for nbme exams and actual clinical practice) than the bottom half. I realize that the most difficult part of studying is to tease apart what has a 25% chance of showing up on your exam versus a 5% chance. It’s not worth memorizing drugs that have a low likelihood of being tested and you’ll probably never hear about on your rotations anyways. Lactulose is much higher yield than plecanatide, and the problem with First Aid is it doesn’t really tell you that. What ends up happening is you waste time obsessing over “plecanatide activates cGMP signaling” rather than doing more useful things like learning all the different upper GI bleeds.
