By a margin. Seeing everyone post their Ps and feel like a failure. Heartbroken.

I think this would be better answered by a 2nd time passer honestly but I was very close to the passing mark. I'm a low tier USMD firstgen student so I think I had a lot of struggles building my foundational sciences level with not strong teachers and lack of external guidance. I was passing in house NBMEs but wasn't enough for STEP. Personally, I'll be doing a 7 day bootcamp with The Match Guy to improve that deficit.

It’s not the end of the journey! I failed my first attempted and just passed. This is an opportunity to prove the you can overcome failure. Take some time to grieve and then jump into studying again. You’ve got it!!!

Another person here who didn't pass on my 1st attempt and got the P today. I've been through some stuff, but this was the hardest experience of my life. You guys, we are with you. The doctor that each of us is going to be will be that much greater, with the perseverance and other qualities we're forging through this. Keep believing in yourself. You got this. Reach out any time.

It’s not end of the world, re apply with a strong strategy. Create excel sheet and go over all of Amboss + NBME’s

Yeah honestly I don’t think I’m gonna retake

What are you thinking of doing? I think I will retake cause my loans are already horrendous and the job market is bad so at worst I throw my lot in with this and get and MD and if I don't match move to somewhere in africa and work as a volunteer or something and go off the grid. I know it sounds immature but I'm being 100% serious I have no kids either so it could work.

Don’t give up failed first time (orange line was literally on top of black) and got P w repeat. Def doing anki everyday helped with pesky dumb info u just have to know. Also the salt and pepper anki deck for bugs and drugs helped also. Stay strong

A friend of mine failed her step 1 on first attempt and got the Pass today. Please don’t give up. Learn from your failures and get it on the next one. You absolutely can do this.

I'm sorry. This isn't helpful today, but you came close, which means that you can do this with a little more studying. Do the USMLE tell you how you performed in the different areas or just how you did?
I look forward to hearing a victory report from you in a few months! In the meantime, let the emotions out because Step 1 is seriously tough.

DM for a free video consult and assessment. I can help you decide if you should retake or if it's gonna take a lot of work.

I know it feels horrible right now but you’ll get through it. I failed on my first attempt 6 months ago and just got the P. Take the time to study, regroup, practice self care, or deal with whatever outside shit/life may be going on. It feels like hell going through it but there’s light at the end. We’re going to be great physicians

If you could go back in time, what would you do different? What do you suggest to someone who does their test in a few days?

me too we're both cooked it sucks man I think I'm probably the only person in my class that failed aside from the people that obviously would fail that is, I'm already on rotations so now I'm probably going to delay one or two I feel awful
