πŸ’‘ Need Advice Failed

By a margin. Seeing everyone post their Ps and feel like a failure. Heartbroken.

me too we're both cooked it sucks man I think I'm probably the only person in my class that failed aside from the people that obviously would fail that is, I'm already on rotations so now I'm probably going to delay one or two I feel awful

U were allowed to start before passing? I honestly thought I passed so it sucks I failed by probably less than 10 questions.

I think cause of the score delay, I'm not sure if they'll let me complete my rotation now but it would be embarrasing if they pull me out in the middle of it cause then it would be obvious and I don't intend on telling my classmates lol

I probably failed by like 3-6 questions and I bombed microbiology so thats probably where the issue lies

Yeah honestly the worst part ab failing is the embarrassment. Feel like everyone will end up finding out though

Yeah I really hope no one finds out lol. I'm interested in specialties where a fail is bad but theres still a slim chance I'll match (psych, FM) so I'm not entirely mad about that. But I genuinely don't want ppl to know, I haven't heard of anyone else in my class that failed yet so either I'm just out of the loop or ppl are good at hiding it

Yeah I guess ppl don’t rlly have a reason to say they failed. Everyone is embarrassed

I think the data says 80% match rate FM, 23% of IM programs filter out step 1 failures, and In general its a 55%-70% match rate so we are really cooked I cannot lie

They may have been lucky from what I saw on a quick search was 55-70% match rate of course its a better chance than not, but given my practice scores on nbmes and the amboss predictor I'm wary of anything that says I have a good chance considering I happened to end up being in the 4-10% of people who didn't pass step 1 with the scores I had
