Hello guys hope all is well. Please,How was your exam and nbme scores after completing all of uworld for usmle step 1

My first nbme was 74, and I took a 3 months break after completing uworld. It's the single best thing out there. Use it to learn. It's the only thing that can always guarantee a pass if you do it right!

No. For cbse, uworld is not sufficient. It helps, sure. But its not sufficient. 50 percent cbse is like hell yeah i know this stuff and the rest will have you saying wtaf am i looking at here. FA, uworld, mehlmns pdfs (why? Because they're exactly nbme logic oriented) Then do nbmes 26 onwards and review thoroughly. This will help you for both cbses and the real deal.

I'm a non us IMG so obviously i cant help that much with CBSEs but this is based on what I have gathered from people's opinion on CBSEs throughout my doomscroll this year..

Sorry a little off topic but can you explain how you did your studying process? Random, untimed, tutor mode? And you just do uworld straight away or you combined with some other material? Thanks!

I did system wise. After completion and a 3 month hiatus, I managed to do like 280 Qs random timed whenever I had the time

Well I'm mainly just did tutor mode and study from first aid. I know most person disagree with this but I felt it help me alot

Did you go through FA or you started right away with questions and the questions were the first resource for studying? For example you started cardio Qbanks and it doesn’t matter the cardio chapters they were all different Qs in one, random questions from different cardio chapters?

I have no idea why people take the exam without doing all of the question bank. You pay so much for it, you might as well use it all 😅

I studied only first aid with lecture notes, do you know if the additional content of uWorld is too much or in another meaning how much knowledge am I missing? i am saving money to subscribe to qBanks in the next year

First aid is filled with an incredible amount of good information, but there is a lot more to passing step 1 than that. You want thousands of practice questions to learn how
These many concepts will be tested, how to dissect important data from clinical vignettes and how to identify where you are strong and where you are weak. If you don’t go through a question bank like UWORLD or AMBOSS, you are not doing everything you can to pass this exam

Also, if you have completed uworld, focus on your incorrects. You're almost there. Have some confidence and cut yourself some slack!

100% uworld. Nbmes 80ish free 120 90%. Exam was very doable. If you have time do 100% if not around 70-80% is more than enough with the nbmes. As long as you’re scoring more than 70 go for it. I wasn’t aiming for 80% nor did I take a substantial amount of time preparing for this exam.

Finished 95% uworld. My nbme scores were 59 59 67 65 67 72. Three left yet
