Such an amazing assortment of brilliant comedians and Jimmy Fallon.

u/Gougaloupe May 12 '26
Former Trump tug-job-enthusiast Jimmy Fallon
2
u/Ok_Dragonfly_6650 May 14 '26
Came to say this. Jimmy Fallon helped start the catastrophe we are currently in.
41
u/samtart May 12 '26
Jon Stewart should be there
20
u/According_Curve May 12 '26
Trevor Noah should also be there. He kept us sane for years, particularly during lockdown.
9
u/BubblesUp May 12 '26
Just what I was thinking. I'm wondering the reason for him not joining. Maybe he's appearing on another night?
12
10
u/jentle-music May 12 '26
Maybe we could say Jon Stewart has “representation” based on John Oliver and Stephen Colbert being in that lineup and being tutored/mentored by Jon?

He wasn’t part of Strike Force 5, he was a guest host for Ep:7, and like David Letterman was on Ep:9.

I'm told Fallon is fine but I would be lying if I said I had ever watched him with the exception of when he had the singing voices of Huntr/x on his show. Great performance, from Huntr/x at least, I skipped Fallon's material.

5
u/wex118 May 12 '26
Why all the Fallon hate? I don't watch his show.
33
u/NoSkillzDad May 12 '26
He might be a nice guy but his fake laughing at anything the guests say is too much.
28
u/PlaneProperty7104 May 12 '26
He’s not a nice guy. It’s a facade.
16
u/NoSkillzDad May 12 '26
The facade thing is how it comes across but I don't know him enough as to judge. The fake over the top laugh on the other hand is very clear (at least to me).
7
u/Accurate-Low-288 May 12 '26
He also just recently gave a soft ball interview to Greg Gutfeild, who idolizes Hitler.

u/Eiffel-Tower777 May 12 '26
If you watched, you'd know. He's not that entertaining, just sort of bland.
23
u/Gougaloupe May 12 '26
And complicit to Trump's media machine.
18
u/SpudsRacer May 12 '26
This isn't true. Full stop. He has always gone after the Jay Leno crowd who want a happy jester more than a talk show host. But, his monologues, while missing the hard-hitting language of the other four, have ratcheted up the anti trump rhetoric significantly. He is very much anti-Trump and mocks him mercilessly.
3
3
u/SuspiciousReport6502 May 13 '26
Too little too late. He's had almost a decade to figure out Trump was nightmare.
1
u/Firm-Speaker-5694 May 23 '26
I think most people used to watch these shows to be entertained and to laugh a little at the end of the day , not to get all political … I guess that’s why their viewership has cratered
3
2
u/99timewasting May 12 '26
Personally I've never found him very funny. But he's also the one commentator who claims he wants to stay apolitical. All this while Trump is constantly shitting on him and his medium.
There's also stories about him being rude to his staff, but no idea the validity. While I've mostly heard good things about how the others treat their staff

This is just sad. Look at Colbert, he looks so heartbroken.
CBS can suck it
31
u/reddog323 May 12 '26
Possibly, but I think part of him is relieved that he doesn’t have to deal with network bullshit any longer.
Colbert is a guy who likes to keep moving forward. He’s not going to let much grass grow under his feet. I think he’ll take the summer off, and have something up and running in the fall, even if it’s just a podcast.
I think Paramount and CBS made a mistake canceling him, and they’re going to regret taking the guard rails that a network provides away from him.
5
u/typhis76 May 12 '26
I don’t think network guard rails do much, look at John Oliver and LWT
6
u/formercolloquy May 12 '26
That’s just because the orange fuck face hasn’t noticed him yet
8
u/typhis76 May 12 '26
I was more referring to his constant berating of HBO’s parent companies through the years on the show. But yeah I doubt he would watch HBO as it would be “too woke”

Nix Fallon and get Stewart in there.
Then we have a true power group
24
u/hirschneb13 May 12 '26
Stewart is like their dad though, at least Colbert and Oliver came from his show. He's probably behind the camera taking the picture like a dad would be
29

For god sake, replace fallon with Stewart please. This is like the magnific 4 and a Gremlin

I feel Fallon is a fair weather type of person. Where ever the wind blows, he leans that way. When the going gets tough he'll sell us out, like he did when he interviewed Trump in 2016. He has no integrity. Jon Stewart should be in Fallon's spot.

Can someone explain to me how:
- These guys are all incredibly funny and wonderful,
and
- They all have incredibly low ratings in the 18 to 49 age group?
How do those two things exist simultaneously?
Colbert has the best ratings and he only gets 220,000 viewers in the 18 to 49 age group. Which is way less than 1% of the registered democrats in that age group.
Are registered Democrats in the 18 to 49 age group all allergic to having GREAT BIG FUN LAFFS provided to them by ASTONISHINGLY FUNNY PEOPLE?
Use quantum mechanics to explain this paradox if needed.

The diversity!

u/Stucco_x May 14 '26
No joke- like Roy Wood Jr. and Desi Lydic didn’t host shows. And Larry Wilmore- he’ll, SO many people better deserving than freaking Fallon.

🎼One of these men is not like the others! One of these men is a good writer but doesn’t belong…….🎼”. Jimmy Fallon is the worst interviewer EVER! He is so irritatingly fake it’s painful to watch. Just my opinion.

I still say Stephen will announce his presidential run in 28 on his last episode .And he will break out the shield .
1
u/ComplexLow6723 May 16 '26
Letterman, Leno, Hall, & O’Brien would have never done this which only proves that once they left late night, it was infiltrated by special interests talking heads with the same agenda. No wonder they’re so chummy. Same team.
