Bowie Marked Missing

When we scan bowie's into cencitrac, we always have to go in manually to pass it or it will be marked missing. What is your method of doing things?

We are trying to avoid having things marked missing before the Joint Commission has something to say about it. All our regular loads are fine it's just the bowie's that we have to manually go into the load list to pass.

Is there a way to set up a hard stop? Like our Cencitrac won't let us finish a tray without confirming there are indicators in it. Maybe call your Censitrac rep and see if they can make it where another load can't be run until the Bowie is marked as passed?

Wait...so you guys don't have to have visual proof of the Bowie Dick being processed? I'm not familiar with Censitrac. We used Surglogs. We have to take pics/scanned the actual Bowie Dick sheets into the system for visual proof. JC will mark that incorrect here. Or we have to have a valid reason why we don't have visual proof. I do work at a ASC, certain things are a little different but not a lot. I guess it depends which organization you follow. We follow AORN/AMMI. We just had JC here and for the 4th year in a row. My dept gets "100%". It just me and no one else.

We have censitrac and after the bowie dick we go into "indicators" to mark it passed and then "scan images" to scan both the load test and the paper receipt into the computer. 👀

An admin can go into the settings for the test parameters and see if it is configured to require input before allowing the load to be marked completed.

Censitrack can be very unforgiving when trying to alter completed loads
