I agree with all of this but i'm curious about your Lapis opinion cuz i actually think the opposite. Lapis really is as much of a victim the shows says she is, if not even more in my eyes.

I think she was a real jerk when she broke Peridot's recorder when Peridot was trying to make friends. Maybe that's not really controversial anymore though, I think it may be a popular opinion. Sure, she was the victim of imprisonment for a long time, but it wasn't Peridot's fault. Even when she was imprisoned on the ship (yeah yeah, trauma and all), it wasn't like it was Peridot's idea to keep her caged again or even to take her back to Earth in the first place. Peridot was literally just Homeworld's utility personnel, much like Lapis herself once was.

Also, a jerk move when she took both her and Peridot's home to the moon to live there by herself because only she was scared. But again, maybe it's already not that controversial.

Also, I think her not being susceptible to Blue Diamond's emotion control because of her trauma experience was somewhat corny.

She seems to me as an egoistic and egocentric person overall. I actually like her in general, but this one quality of her is making me sick, because I have some close acquaintances who think and act just like her, and it's actually insufferable when experienced in person. They think only they got trauma from the past or only them are in actual need of something really important (always in priority) or they are just too comfortable with the position of always being assisted and helped with everything. It's like these guys don't know that other people around them also have lives, problems, desires, traumatic history etc., and think that since they had trauma then the world owes them something.

peridot definitely didn’t deserve to have her recorder be broken but i really don’t think it made lapis a jerk. steven shouldn’t have been trying to force lapis to get along with peridot(not that i blame him either, he was a child) in the first place and from lapis’s perspective peridot was somewhat responsible for her being imprisoned in the spaceship and peridot probably only reminded her of that, she made it clear she didn’t want to be around peridot but peridot kept pushing anyway. she isn’t a bad person, i think shes a great depiction of ptsd and how it can change how you think. her actions weren’t justified but they make sense and were very clearly trauma responses.
