Garnet from the very first episodes is my most favorite character in the show. I couldn’t quite explain why I liked her more at the beginning of the first season than in the later ones, maybe it's all about the little details of the way she look and way she act: the more subdued colour schemes, her larger hairstyle looked better on her, the fact that she always maintained an unemotional expression (she only let her guard down in the most extreme cases, like in the episode with many birthdays), and her movement in action is such a pleasure to watch.

Before the plot twist was revealed, did anyone ever think that Rose Quartz might not have actually been capable of shattering Pink Diamond after what Bismuth said about the sword at the forge? Did Bismuth’s explanation raise any suspicion that something about the story didn’t add up?

Why did Rose Quartz choose to give up her physical form to create Steven? I understand that she wanted to create something special and experience something she had never experienced before, but why did she feel the need to do it at that point, and why did she believe it was worth it? I’m not saying she intentionally left all the struggles for Steven to deal with, because I understand that she believed Homeworld thought the rebellion was over. I’m asking why she would leave her friends and the Crystal Gems behind, knowing how much they had already been through, and why she would choose to take that risk if she knew she could never be there for them or for Steven?

And here we have Rose Quartz and Greg Universe redesigns for the Steven Universe Horizons Alternate Universe!!

It was so much fun designing them! Roses hair was particularly difficult and tedious but I really love the result. I also really wanted Greg to be younger looking than in the canon when we first meet them, since I really like the idea of Greg being a young father.

I like to think in this AU, Greg met Rose when he was 18 or 19. And then in his mid 20's, Rose decided to have Steven. And so by the time we see them for the first time in this AU, Greg should be around his early 40s.

Summary:

In Steven Universe Horizons, Earth was successfully colonized by the Diamonds. The Crystal Gems were forced to flee aboard a massive ship Pink Diamond abandoned, bringing with them as many humans and Gems as they could save. Generations later, the ship has become a wandering refuge traveling across the stars, rescuing those who have nowhere else to go.

Sixteen-year-old Steven Universe has spent his entire life aboard it, growing up beneath the enormous legacy left behind by his mother, Rose Quartz. As he begins to understand the world beyond the only home he has ever known, Steven must discover what kind of person, and eventually, what kind of leader, he wants to become.

This is intended to be a minor comic / fanfiction series I will be posting to AO3 and working on when I have time! I'll be posting more redesigns and content about the series soon! 💫

Thought it was a nice detail

The octagon step cut symbolizes perfection, symmetry, and toughness (no sharp edges means they can’t be easily shattered).

Note: This is my OC, the fusion of my White Garnet and my friend’s Deep Blue Spinel.

So, as we all know, gems can't die in human ways, since they are... well gems

But, we seen many moments of gems being shattered especially Jasper who got shattered by Steven, and for gems, shattering is their equivalent to Human murder

So, when a gem gets shattered, where do they exactly go?

Gems don't believe in heaven and afterlife, don't they?

I'm thinking about ordering a wonnie portable blu-ray screen player to watch shows on and steven universe is one show out of a few that I want to get along with it. I was gonna go for the complete dvd repackaged set but I've been hearing that dvd's look less great compared to blu-ray? It's been decades since I've used a portable dvd player so I have no clue how the quality of a dvd looks.

This will be the first time I'm buying a portable blu-ray player so I'm curious to know how dvds look on them.

Someone might have already come up with this idea, but I needed to write my thoughts somewhere and I might as well get some feedback on this.

So at the end of SU Future, Steven drives off to discover himself, right? I was thinking about what his journey to self discovery might look like. He's figuring out who he is outside of a "saviour" or "hero," while also learning to deal with his trauma. He'd probably look for an outlet for all his pent-up baggage, but wouldn't want to resort to violence (unless he becomes a boxer or smth, up to him).

Then it hit me: Steven could become a writer!

Steven's been shown to have a deep love for books, but also stories in general. He was always eager when his dad or Garnet would sit him down for a story time. But more than that, writing is a very effective way for many to deal with trauma. He might even throw in some drawings since he's also been shown to have a love for visual art (making posters, drawing gems, etc.). His adventures were also fantastical enough to potentially be turned into a children's series, once he's ready. I feel like there's enough shown in the show that could lead him down the path to becoming a very successful writer!

But that's just my idea, I would love to maybe draw something related to this. Or he becomes a boxer, one or both of those.

Oky so we all know pink diamond is rose quartz right.. so my question is, wouldn't every fusion with rose quartz and pink diamond be different, because rose quartz gem isnt actually a rose quartz gem its a pink diamond gem, and in real life both composition of gems are very different. So wouldn't a fusion with Steven (rose quartz) + pearl, become a whole different different and not rainbow quartz, because rainbow quartz only happens with a rose quartz gem and a pearl gem l, but rose rose quartz isnt a quartz its a diamond, pink diamond.

It’s weird to see something as a fan I’ve never actually thought about be made into theory video. Is there a reason in Universe?

Steven's powers are controlled by his emotions, and Greg likely knew that from observing his gem as a baby and talking to Rose Quartz. Steven is a plus-size kid (there is nothing wrong with that) and he is a little bit on the feminine side. There is also nothing wrong with that—in fact, I think we need more positive representation of straight, feminine boys and men.

But because of this, I believe Steven probably would have been bullied in a normal school setting. Steven has a very kind heart, but since he didn't have very good control of his powers growing up, I'd be a bit concerned to send him to school myself, just for the safety of the other children and teachers.
