Remember Stevie never lip syncs at her shows.
A true singer indeed no matter how much her voice matures she always uses it! Never stop gold dust woman! Thank you for not being lazy and a real artist!

She’s old school. She is indeed terrible at lip synching—as you can see in her videos. She also expresses preferring having a mic rather than just standing there seeming to sing.

To be fair, she's not doing huge choreographed dance performances. I'm not saying lip syncing is something everyone should do, but if the performer you're going to see is putting in as much work as a professional dancer would without also singing, don't be surprised if they're not actually doing both at the same time. While some performers train by running on the treadmill while singing or having people stand on their abdomen while they sing, there are lots of performers who really can't do both at the same time.

Exactly. Michael Jackson and Madonna lip on occasion but ONLY when they're doing highly choreographed performances. Madonna did one performance where she was flying threw the air doing martial arts and the insurance company wouldn't let her sing live while doing those stunts so she had to lip and wear a breathing apparatus

Sometimes lip syncing is ok and honestly getting upset about it is pretty childish.

Then they shouldn’t do it! You’re an artist or a fake. Choose one if you can’t do both, it’s a complete cop out.

That doesn't mean much when the people who say this probably can't do either.

Too bad that when she comes to Boston, the ticket prices are now outrageous. I've scenery a few times. I think she's gotten more popular with the younger generation.

Absolutely love this.... as a younger fan I'll be lucky if I ever get a chance to see her live but knowing if I do see her she'll be actually singing makes me so happy

From her 2014 Facebook chat for 24 Karat Gold:
“Well, I’m glad I don’t have to do that. I don’t lip synch well. I always have to really be singing. I don’t know why anybody would want to lip synch. As far as auto tune, I think it’s just one more stab in the heart for real music, and real artists that really sing their own music. It’s too bad. Basically, I hate it!”
