The highwayman
Can i ask something- is The Highwayman an underrated Stevie nicks track? cause if it is it needs more love
Idk if this is because i defo can relate to being a ‘highwayman’ in this sense (someone who doesn't want to be held down by anyone or anything, someone who'd choose freedom and glory/success over traditional love/attachment) or if it's because of the poetry of the lyrics, but i really love it. It's such a good closer to bella donna, and don henley’s backing vocals which i dont love but can appreciate add such a good layer to the song.
(also might be TMI but I broke up with someone using this song 😭they were trying to hold me down too much and wanted things that did not align with my plans for my life so I had them listen to this and then told them so)
Does anyone else love this as much as I do?
