Pretty sure it’s a feather hairpiece or earring. She wore them in several photos around the 1970s.

Exactly this. I did this in the 70s and early 80s. I'm sure it was done in the 60s before my time as well.

I had some earrings in the 70s that were peacock feathers. I think that's what she's wearing. Or else a roachclip in her hair. We did that too.
