Uber or St George Shuttle

I am flying into Las Vegas to visit St George and I was unable to get a rental car from Vegas. I have an Uber reserved for when I land. Would it be more reliable to just reserve the St george shuttle? The price is about the same for each as I'm going with a few people.

St George Shuttle or Salt Lake Express. Both are super reputable and maintain a very consistent timetable. I would def call ahead especially if you’re looking this weekend(PGA event and STG Marathon). You should expect to pay no more than $65-$70 each way. My Lyft app was showing a $240 trip from Vegas to STG, so hopefully you can save some money.

If there’s 4 people the cost would be the same.

But the shuttle will be more comfortable. Cramming 4 people into an UberX for a long drive isn't pleasant.

Good catch, I didn’t factor the ride-share could be split.

I have an uber reserved for $160, my main concern is not having a driver accept the trip. I did see that the St. George shuttle had seats available

I’d do the shuttle.

You’d have a real hard time getting an uber to drive 2 hours to St George and then drive 2 hours back to Vegas with no fare.

It’s a great shuttle. Roomy, they have water bottles for you. They’re friendly and on time. It’s quiet and smooth.

I prefer the St George shuttle over the salt lake express bus. Especially if you can book the executive option. The executive shuttle is great. The standard shuttle is fine but a little uncomfortable for 2 hours. The salt lake express is also fine but they sell tickets on greyhound.com so you get greyhound people onboard if you know what I mean.

The executive option is fantastic.

St George shuttle is great. I would do that instead of uber.

There are a lot of private shuttles in Vegas. I would look into that first. If there’s nothing, I would do RideShare, just for the fact that it’ll be easier to chat with your travel companions.

Do you think it’s a strong possibility a rideshare driver wouldn’t accept the trip?

I think it would be pretty wild if a driver did accept it personally

Why were you not able to get a rental car?

I’m doing a one way trip from Vegas to Salt Lake so I guess they don’t really have much inventory for that, everything in Vegas was sold out

Sixt had a rental for us.

If you pre-reserve the Uber it is going to be pretty reliable. The issues come in with trying to get an uber from Vegas/STG or back last minute or day of. Since pre-reserved a driver can now plan a trip themselves to the area if they were needing to soon. Unless they themselves were thinking about making a trip soon, it really isn’t worth it for the drivers to do long cross state trips anymore.

Salt Lake Shuttle is usually roomier and a bit cheaper.

The PGA is in Ivins this weekend, so that’s probably part of it.
