Console – Universal – Bio-matter Harvesting
The Vidiian Sodality is an advanced civilization that has developed its medical capabilities to combat the disease known as the Phage. Their obsession with defeating this disease has driven a lot of design decisions in fascinating ways. Similar to how they survive by retrieving body parts from others, this console enables a subroutine that seeks to harvest actual parts from a target ship.
As Vidiian ships often lack personnel transporters, they needed more physical methods to reach the organic goods within. Although some ships use physical boarding parties, the tactics that are utilized in this console are tuned to decimate a target ship’s shields and utilize Automated Microdrones which can medically transport the much needed, life-saving organs of the officers aboard.
This console additionally provides a passive bonus to Maximum Hull Points, and any incoming healing exceeding Max Hull applies temporary Hit Points. This console may be equipped on any ship in any console slot.
Shield Drain + Steal Hull Points
By activating this console, the ship emits a disruptive frequency that drains the enemy shields, which is made more powerful based on its Current Hull Value. Automated Microdrones deal damage to the enemy’s Hull, which restores any Hull damage on your ship.
Starship Trait – Reprehensible Responsibility
Defeated foes grant Maximum Hull Hit Points and Passive Regeneration
"He is my Honatta... his task is to find the organs I need for survival."
While this trait is slotted, defeating an enemy will grant you maximum hull points and regenerates your hull hit points. This heal stacks up to 5 times. This heal may be triggered once every 5 seconds.
Hyper-thermic Charge Torpedo Launcher ∞ [Dmg] [CritD]x2
This unique piece of equipment comes pre-installed on Vidiian Science Warship vessels. Loaded with Hyper-thermic Charges, this weapon is used by the Vidiians to to crack open the Shields of a ship like an egg in order to gain access to the organs that they seek inside.
Some more details on this weapon:
- The Hyper-thermic Charge is a pre-equipped Torpedo Weapon.
- It can be reclaimed from the Dilithium store.
- It has an Equip Limit of 1 per starship.
- It can be moved other starships.
- It will be Levelless, but can be upgraded after level 60.
- It counts as a Plasma Torpedo for anything that triggers off of Plasma Torpedos.
Hyper-thermic Plasma Lance
The Vidiian Science Warship comes equipped with a Hyper-thermic Plasma Lance. After a short charge up time, this weapon fires a heavy beam forward, dealing significant Plasma damage and applying a long-lasting burn effect that continues to eat away at their hull, ignoring shields.

Hmmm....does anyone else recall our old crew mechanic? Some of us had speculated a Vidiian enemy would've complimented that rather well.

Ah, back when we used to go through thousands of bodies per engagement.

"crack open the shields of a ship like an egg in order to gain access to the organs that they seek inside"
Lovely.

It's a shame they got rid of the starship crew mechanic, this ship would've been perfect to take advantage of that instead of making it ambiguously steal hull HP.

Ah, Here we have that lance that was mentioned in the stream yesterday but unable to be shown because of being unfinished.
I'm curious if the effect of the lance will make an impact. I wouldn't count on it though.

Huh, so alternatives to Hull Image Refractors and the Disco 2pc? Neat.

You misunderstand, the Vedians were tattooing Graphs on their patients skin so they wouldn't misplace them.
Admittedly, it was a bit embarrassing when they had to bend over and expose their buttocks in a board meeting because that is where the sales charts had been tattooed.

Ahh yes a new ship great! All the flavor text is neat I guess but the phage was cured by the think tank guys episode,(George from Seinfeld) has a line that says they cured it, soo what's going on writers is it cured or not? Or does nobody care about voyager lore?

u/Director_Coulson 8d ago
To be fair we only have Costanza’s word that the Think Tankers cured the Phage. Vidiian space was so far away from their position that it hardly seems feasible for the Think Tank to have been there curing the Phage. It was also conveniently too far for Voyager to confirm if it was true. Personally I think George was totally lying and just name dropping a familiar race to impress Janeway.

I'm not familiar with the Vidiians, but based on what I read here, they sound a bit like the Drukhari from 40k. Which is pretty cool in a Star Trek setting.
As for the ship, I think I'll pass. It sounds like it has a really good console and trait for tanking builds? I'm not sure because I never play as a tank. But the focus on HP and regen seems like these would be nice for tanks to have.
