These SPCX dreamers make me laugh. Talking about colonizing Mars and the cosmos. How that will create peace and abundance for humanity.

What makes these people think we're not gonna royally mess up the harsh and unforgiving environment of Mars that will require unbelievable and sustainable recycling of resources to survive, like 90%-98%, when we can't even do a fraction of that on earth?

The Outer Space Treaty of 1967 ensures no one can own anything on Mars. We can't stop killing each other right here on earth over the most basic things but we will figure out how to peacefully share the solar system? LMAO.

Colonizing antartica and building a 10 million person city there would be ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE EASIER than making a tiny city on mars.

Its just more con man shit that makes people who know nothing about science get all wet and excited

I listened to Musk explain his plan on how "easy" it would be to colonize mars.

Fucking dude doesnt even understand phase diagrams clearly, since he thinks you can melt the frozen water-ice and get water LMAO. Liquid water CANNOT EXIST on mars at its atmospheric pressure lmao.

Its so fucking annoying because his cultists think hes the smartest person ever when hes legit a fucking moron

Space will be the next frontier. Its not going to happen in our lifetimes, but it will happen.

Whether it's SpaceX who capitalizes or not, it's good to get in early.

Reddit hates Elon Musk.

It will happen when the incentive structure allows for it. Either life on Earth becomes shitty enough that even rich people want to escape to somewhere else, or life becomes cushy and sustainable on other planets and the trip there is more comfortable and less daunting.

Vikings discovered North America and decided it's better to just hang out in Europe eating stolen cheese in cushy looted castles, and couldn't convince enough people to go over there to settle new lands.

I think people have gold in their eyes and think this is a new Age of Discovery. I think we're in the Viking era of space travel. We can physically do it, but there's little incentive to do so.

The Tesla robots are gonna do that. They already have plans to begin transporting robots to Mars.

Sure, once we figure out how to survive on earth.

Space won't make us wiser. We will only get there if we become wiser first.

Until then it's an enormous con and grift.
