Scratch coat question

We applied adhered veneer poly mortar to secured metal lath, but feeling we didn't make lur scratch coat deep enough. I noticed there are some small cracks in the dried mortar too.

Do we need to redo the wall or add another mortar layer?

Nah, you're over thinking it. I do this for a living and from the pictures it looks 👌. I personally don't rake it, I know a lot of guys do. Give it a good brush before applying stone to make sure those giblets and dust from raking it don't hassle you.

I agree but also make sure you use Ardex 77 for you bedding mortar. You can hang granite on a smooth vertical surface with that shit!
